RESTORE AGHASBA’S ECOSYSTEMS

BRAVE THE WITHERED LANDS
Much of Aghasba is still infested with the Withered, a dark force that absorbs the life from all it touches. Craft weapons, armor and elixirs before venturing into the Withered Lands and battle bloodthirsty Withered monsters, gradually ridding the island of the Withered plague.

Please note that multiplayer is currently in a prototype stage.
Cooperative Gameplay: Join forces with up to three friends (4 total, including the host) to explore and revitalize the island. Engage in activities such as decorating, building, combating the Withered, planting diverse ecosystems, and gathering resources.
ToA MP focuses solely on cooperative play, with no player-versus-player elements.
Personalized Islands: Every player maintains their own distinct island, reflecting their creative vision and efforts in healing the land. While islands remain individual and do not transfer between players, the collaborative experience allows for shared exploration and mutual assistance.
Shared Progress: Items and amity acquired during multiplayer sessions seamlessly transfer back to your personal island. This ensures that cooperative endeavors contribute meaningfully to your individual progress and development.
Quest Progression in Co-op is currently available in a beta state. Note that any quest and story progression experienced in multiplayer is only applied to the host and does not carry over to other players in their own worlds.

not a whole lot to do in this game. been in early access for two years and it feels empty and crude while playing
love this game. Got it on sale and do not regret it. played 9 hours on steam deck.
I absolutely loved this game, and playing it with its Naussica- The Valley of the Wind mod on nexus really scratched that Ghibli game itch I was looking for. What got me to buy it even though its Early Access was the Studio Ghibli inspiration - there aren't enough games that draw on that magic. And it sure delivered on that front. I wish the story was longer, but it still took me 30-40 hours. Restoring ecosystems and all the decisions to make with that was peak for me, I love nature growing games. What kept me around was how much there is to do in the game. Even after I beat the early access story, I was only at mid-tier ecosystems. There were tons of really cool animal life I didnt even see until 10 hours after beating the story. Without too much spoilers, destroying the Withered and growing ecosystems back is by far my favorite part of this game. Overall a great game. I don't buy many games tbh, but this one made the list. Glad the dev team hasn't abandoned it. Hope the qualms people have with it get better and better as time goes on. Running around on my own two-legged bird mount - and once I got the mod - living a Naussica prequel, founding the Valley of the Wind and listening to the background Naussica music is my idea of a good time.
i like the gameplay the story line
Godspeed to the devs.
try the game for yourself don`t let the comments steer you away
- THE GOOD Unique concept. The island is barren. Plant forests to revitalized the ecosystem in the area. The plants attract herbivores, which attract carnivores. The cycle of life leaves behind resources to gather. Use those resources to build huts, farms, and more, which attract people and open up new craftables. Go exploring to find chests, enemies, unique quests with quirky characters, and new areas to revitalize. Take your rewards back and upgrade your forests and villages. The game is clearly inspired by Zelda, particularly in the odd personalities of the characters, but the game has an identity of its own. Towers of Aghasba feels cozy, charming, and fresh. Animations are surprisingly good. Sound design is great. Music is splendid (and near constant). Combat feels better than most AA games. There's even a campaign to follow. - THE BAD It's an early access title and the team behind it had to downsize. They said they are still working on it, but there are issues that aren't going away any time soon. Movement is a little finicky when climbing cliffs or trees. Game stutters hard on startup. It's a DLSS issue. Runs fine once you turn DLSS off and get to actual gameplay. Since you place all the items in the world, cutscenes don't always know how to handle camera angles. If you move buildings, helpful tutorial signs might be left in the old location. Jank is plentiful, but never game breaking, in my experience. This is a great game for anyone who wants a cozy, casual, unique, and highly addictive experience, if you can tolerate some bugs.
No updates in god knows how long; over a year, at least. That makes me feel like it's an abandoned project and a waste of money.
First time I tried this game it run well... now it's unplayable! Game looks like a raw gem!
