TW : Three Kingdoms est l'opus qui se déroule comme son nom l'indique durant l'épopée chinoise des trois royaumes. Le seul autre TW majeur auquel j'ai joué étant TW : Warhammer, j'ai été agréablement surpris de la profondeur de la diplomatie dans cet opus. Je ne suis pas certain qu'une partie pacifique soit possible, mais quelque soit votre style de jeu, la diplomatie sera au centre du gameplay. Ce qui implique évidemment un léger recul de l'aspect militaire. Pas de panique toutefois, les unités sont nombreuses (quoique beaucoup soient communes à toutes les factions), les villes à conquérir le sont plus encore, et les batailles n'en sont pas moins stratégiques. Pour comparer grossièrement avec TW : Warhammer, Three Kingdoms est plus lent, plus technique sur l'aspect gestion, et plus punitif aussi. La reconstitution, la croissance, le recrutement, toutes ces mécaniques nécessitent ici de vrais réflexions et une pondération dans chaque décision ! Un Tw très intéressant donc, qui permet d'incarner d'innombrables héros de la chine tout en s'immergeant dans un conflit politique rarement égalé.
