Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.71/day in the week to Sep 2 → 5/day in the week after.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5.14/day in the week to Aug 16 → 8/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I changed my mind multiple times but I guess I switch to positive feedback reluctantly. The major issue of this game is broken soldier movements. It has the same laggy orders of rome 1 but with numerous glitches. Rome 1 was better than this. Sometimes soldiers don't run when you order them to run and sometimes half of the soldiers in a unit don't run. It's a mess! You order your unit to attack and only one soldier runs to enemy the rest just watch with a distance! Routing soldiers are sometimes too late to change path and they just bump to massive enemy army and die! Even AI can't move its own soldiers properly. When you order archers to move, most of the time they completely ignore because they are shooting, not even completing the order after finished shooting There are some improvements to rome total war but there are more glitches such as gates not closing even when there is no allied soldier around it. Also soldiers can magically run 3x faster when they get close to enemy to the point that foot soldiers can easily outrun cavalry just because they are charging.
Il miglior medieval di sempre
I dont know what im doing, but this game is cool.
Don't want to be that guy that cares about graphics but this game looks insanely grainy on my pc. Love the total war games but I would rather play Rome 2. Other than that the game is good.
Absolute blast, one of the greatest total war games ever made
A Sovereign’s Confession: "My Armor Is Tight, My Horizon Is Narrow" Greetings, noble Commander. It is I—the one who has occupied the throne of your library since 2006, the one who haunts your dreams with the clashing of steel and the tolling of cathedral bells. I am Medieval II: Total War. For years, I have heard the wistful sighs of my generals: "If only you had the world map of Empire: Total War... you would be untouchable." You are right. So, allow me to step off my pedestal and offer a critique of my own design through the lens of that grand, global scale. 1. The Blinders of Eurocentrism I must admit: my map feels a bit... claustrophobic. I lead you from the coast of Iberia and force you to halt at the Caspian Sea. Yes, I give you a tiny window into the Americas in the late game, but let’s be honest—it’s a mere footnote. If I possessed Empire’s sprawling horizons, with its naval theaters and Indian subcontinents, I wouldn't just be a simulation of knighthood; I would be a Global Conqueror. Imagine sending a fleet of Great Crosses across the Atlantic while simultaneously managing a Seljuk garrison in the heart of Bengal. That wouldn't just be a game; it would be an eternal epic. 2. Empire’s Grandeur vs. My Soul Empire’s map was vast, though some say it lacked the "grit" under its fingernails. However, I envy its logistical brilliance: Trade Theaters: In Empire, the fight for the Ivory Coast or the East Indies felt vital. In my world, the sea is often just a "blue road" to ferry knights from point A to point B. Strategic Scope: A world map means managing resources on a planetary scale. I kept you locked in the fertile but cramped backyard of Europe. 3. Why I Would Have Been "The One" My battlefield atmosphere, my legendary general speeches, and my visceral siege mechanics are still considered the gold standard. If you had married that soul to Empire’s triple-continent map: The Crusades: They wouldn't just be about Jerusalem; they would be a global clash of civilizations spanning from the Americas to the Far East. The Mongol Invasion: Instead of a terrifying "end-game boss" for Eastern Europe, it would have been a world-shattering apocalypse sweeping across the entire Eurasian landmass. Diplomacy: It would have evolved into a massive chess game involving Ming dynasties, Aztec empires, and European kingdoms all on one board. Final Verdict: A Giant in a Small Room I accept the critique. I kept you confined to the muddy fields of France and the burning sands of the Levant. But remember: even within those narrow borders, I gave you a passion that has lasted decades. If I had shared Empire’s vision of the world, the Total War series might have peaked with me—because surpassing such a beast would have been impossible. For now, we tip our helmets to the modders; they are the ones still trying to stretch my old parchment map to the edges of the earth.
