ON the whole this is a good looking remake that I think plays as I'd remembered the originals (at least, THPS2 anyway). My younger self would be more enamoured with this than my current self, as the task lists in each map are pretty samey and you do find yourself repeating some of the same things over and over again. So then it becomes a bit attritional, seeing if you can finish a campaign before stamina runs out. I guess one positive of that was I didn't even consider anything that might be grindy (pun not intended), so I could be done with the game before I started to resent it. I paid £19.99 for this and, honestly, that feels quite overpriced for the level of entertainment I got from it. The all-time low of £13.99 feels more acceptable for me. All in all, I think this was a pretty well made game, brought up-to-date with a fresh coat of paint. But I think the base product it was working with isn't as great as I'd have thought it was. Mileage may vary.

Classic THPS 1 + 2 with a fresh new look. Very nostalgic cruising through old maps. Achievements for this game is too much of a grind, but if you just wanna spend time skating old classic maps and doing crazy tricks, you still got that here.
As a player of the original two games on PS 1, I can totally recommend playing the remake on Windows with the keyboard. Just one thing was important: I had to set the Ollie on ARROW-DOWN. This way the feeling is the same even on the keyboard. Very well remake!
So much fun but some of the achievements are broken and don't work, still 8/10 game forsure tho

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 is a superb remake of two genre‑defining skateboarding classics. It manages to preserve everything that made the originals so beloved — the flow, tricks, level design — while giving them a fresh coat of polish for modern platforms What works very well: Faithfulness to the originals: All the classic levels, skaters, objectives and tricks are here. The layouts are familiar but feel refreshed. Modern visuals & performance: Textures, lighting, effects are significantly upgraded. Game runs smoothly for the most part, giving that satisfying visual punch without compromising game feel. Strong soundtrack: The original music that defines Tony Hawk games makes a return, with additional tracks to refresh the experience. Challenge & replayability: Plenty of goals, combos, achievements, and mastery to pursue – from perfecting tricks, maximizing combos, to completing level objectives. It’s nostalgic but also demanding. What could be better / what some will criticize: On some levels, the ages of the map design show — certain areas feel less refined by today’s standards. Some players find the menus / UI navigation a bit clunky or less intuitive. On certain platforms (especially hybrid or lower‑power hardware), there are compromises: lower resolution, longer loading times, reduced visual fidelity. Verdict: If you’re a fan of the original Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater games, this is a must‑play remake. Even newcomers will appreciate how accessible yet deep it is. It delivers an excellent balance between nostalgia and modern polish. Rating: 9/10
