Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.57/day in the week to Aug 25 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A well-designed game with a deep, engaging story. 有剧情深度的,设计优秀的游戏评测
Tomb Raider Underworld might be by far the strongest title in this era of the reboot. The climbing and platforming sees a massive overhaul and Lara has new degrees of freedom. Most noticeable is the expansion in grapple hook mechanics, as well as freedom to climb on top of parallel bars. The motorcycle gets a MUCH NEEDED overhaul and it is perfect! It is now used as a tool to allow levels to sprawl to never before seen sizes and temples to cover much more area. Out of the 3 games in the LAU trilogy, this one has the most polished climbing and everything is oh so smooth. This game definitely holds up to modern standards and it was a pleasure from beginning to end. The game is FUN! The design of levels makes sure that you never get stuck and it's easy to orient yourself and figure out what you need to do. The puzzles are difficult, but never once did I feel frustrated or bored with the pacing. Of note is that modern systems will likely break the physics and cause objects to shoot across the level. You will need to lock the game at 60 fps unfortunately. Once I turned on Vsync every physics bug was fixed. Performance issues likely come from the volumetric effects. They are poorly optimized and cause frame drops in many levels. Turn it off and it's butter smooth. The game, like a lot of older games also suffers from a VERY stubborn game window that refuses to play well with ALT+Tabbing. There is a windowed mode patch for the game on speedrun.com that has a modified d3d9.dll that fixes this. It is called "TRAWindowed".

bad camera thats it.. the rest of the game pretty is good
if you're wanna buy tomb raider just buy the trilogy it's not comperable with this
the controls in this game are so dysfunctional that it makes my family look like the model american nuclear family, playing doom on ao3 on my phone was less rage inducing
the camera really sucks, but its an otherwise great tomb raider game.
Tomb Raider Underworld is the evolution of TR Legend and TR Anniversary formula, in that it tries to keeps the best parts of them both. The block-buster movie feeling is reserved only for cutscenes and the constant radio chatter during missions is gone. That, along with the expansive level design, underwater spelunking and Lara Croft's general badassery returns Underworld to its roots - to the feeling of eerie exploration of labyrinthine tombs. Combat is again mostly floaty and extremely easy (as the AI basically just runs at you) but it resembles older TR games as there are less arenas here and encounters are reserved mostly for ambushes to keep you on your toes (ala TR1). The new animations are also noticeable and appreciated, giving weight to Lara's athletic moves while also keeping her smooth and responsive - it just makes platforming feel better. When it comes to story though, even with good voice acting and better cutscenes, Underworld seems to take a step back as the returning villains feel almost cartoonish (frenemies never make sense), sidekicks are underdeveloped as a side effect of the radio chatter reduction and the final sequence ends up resolving itself extremely fast - not meshing well narratively with Lara's drive and motive as it was so strongly introduced in TR legend. It makes the whole story feel weak and anti climactic in the end. Game length also doesn't do any favor to the story, as it is only 10-12 hours. Then again Tomb Raider games tend to lack in the story department anyway and the one we get here is better that Anniversary so... yay? It definitely ties all loose ends though so maybe that's good. Anyway, there are more important things than mediocre story telling that hold this game back, the first being that abomination of a camera. It's extremely jerky (even on lower sensitivity) and tends to re-orient itself to the center making you feel like it's resisting your inputs. Maybe on a controller it would feel better but on mouse and keyboard it definitely takes some time to adjust to it. Along with the bad camera comes poor optimization, specifically stuttering. It is prevalent on bigger levels and it seems to always occur after alt tabbing and that nasty camera only exacerbates the issue, making TR Underworld feel jankier that it really is. Another issue is the lack of puzzles/secrets as it makes these well designed levels feel empty and underused, even if platforming in this game is excellent. The devs ended up scattering artifacts around the map in pots and the placement of these things are extremely close to each other. Them not serving any purpose, not even for unlocking costumes or a dps increase makes me think that they were tacked on as an afterthought. Lastly this game has 2 DLC missions exclusive to XBOX360 and apparently it was one of the reasons that this game didn't sell well back in 2008 (oh Microslop). Thankfully there's youtube and the mission themselves aren't needed but they seem well made. In conclusion Tomb Raider Underworld is a good game TR game. Other that the scattered artifacts, all its issues can be ignored after some getting used to as it mostly lacks polish. I really liked the feeling that it gives when played, that of an older Tomb Raider on better graphics. If nothing else I appreciate its ambition and honestly, after playing the whole LAU trilogy I am kind of excited to see where Lara goes from here with TR Catalyst.
