I never normally leave reviews but felt so disappointed by this iteration of TSW. It's the little details that are missing for me that breaks immersion time and again. Things I found while playing include: + no stop markers on most stations I visited for the new UK route, + road bridges over the tracks that look naff (the road is clipping through the bridge at Shipley), + the AI guard mode on the 331 doesn't seem to be function properly for me (when closing doors, the guard seems to close their local door first and then the rest of the train doors when I believe it should be the other way round?) + For some reason Bradford has a spire made out of grass in the city centre? (also, I'm not from the area but I was working in Bradford a few months ago and I don't remember it looking anything like the representation in this game), + odd, buggy passenger behaviour which still hasn't been fixed after 7 releases of this game and more generally, I don't think the graphical or performance improvements are substantial enough to warrant forking out another £45-£60. I don't know who is testing these game/DLC releases for the developer but they must be blind or incredibly oblivious if I'm (and many others) spotting glaring issues in the scenery and gameplay after having just played for a little over an hour. It's laziness on the developer's part and I wish there was more competition on the train sim front like there is for many other sims so we didn't have to put up with this shoddy TSW cycle year on year.

The Good - JetWash's beautiful lighting enhancements - Soundtrack by Benjamin Symons (as always) - The Free Starter Pack The Bad - The white, unreadable UI - Three types of loading screens that cycle between themselves - The game says additional timetable layers have been disabled, even though they haven't - Performance is worse than in previous games - Broken and unrealistic AI Conductor (at one point, it just gave up) - The Freight Hauler UI is garbage - The distance and task names are now yellow for no reason - The screen flickers black when switching apps - Where are the passenger improvements? - And, of course, tons of bugs carried over from the older games In conclusion, I will stay with Train Sim World 6. All of this nonsense could have simply been a major yearly update to Train Sim World, which would prevent players from having to re-download their entire collection every single time.
Game crashes as soon as I come to a complete stop at the first station stop on the Miami route. Happened across multiple equipment types. Are these people serious?
Schade...
Train Sim World 7 crashes frequently on the new Nürnberg–Würzburg route. It doesn’t even show the Unreal Engine crash error anymore, making it impossible to identify the cause. Please fix this ASAP. Don’t let yourself get fooled by the developer. I had AI Conductor disabled and still experienced frequent crashes. The AFB on the BR 412 is also an absolute catastrophe and makes the train practically undrivable. It seems like a workaround was applied on the new route by giving LZB much longer signal outlooks, but on older routes the AFB gets stuck in a crazy braking/throttle loop and constantly oscillates between braking and accelerating. The game also seriously lacks proper NVIDIA support. DLSS overrides and related settings don’t work correctly, and NVIDIA Smooth Motion doesn’t apply properly. This makes it difficult to use modern NVIDIA features as intended. Overall, these issues seriously hurt the experience and need urgent fixing.
I cannot recomend this game in the current state. Any feature I already tried has bugs in it. The key feature for this edition the Freight hauler bugs out every single time. Never was able to complete one. The safety features bug out regulary and make you get stuck. For some reason with every realease of a new TSW these games get worse and worse. They dont test anything before releasing it.
I reallyyyyyy want to say something amazing but honestly? It's a joke. It's always the same with DTG, the "big changes" are hardly big, yeah wow I can do epic settings! Still look terrible, so sorry but DTG really needs to wake up.
Slight disappointment is all i can say. I was rather excited for the Nurberg route and ICE 4, However the optimisation of the route has been abysmal. Expect a FPS drop to as low as 25-30 fps unless you have a NASA computer. I am willing to change my review to recommended once the optimisation is fixed but i have little to no hope.

This has to be one of the best versions of TSW to date. massive QOL fixes and upgrades and major improvements to graphics and the UK core route is simply amazing!
