If you're looking for a fun, well-paced, mech shooter, you can't go wrong with Titanfall 2. This review is strictly about the single player campaign, I can't speak upon multiplayer: The gameplay stays fresh throughout between the action set pieces, mech fights, platforming sections; the story especially the rise of protagonist, Jack Cooper's as a Mech Pilot while building a relationship with his abruptly acquired mech, BT-7274 keeps you going and attaches you emotionally. For those who are short on time, it took me about 10 hours to complete so no need to worry about grinding or the game overstaying it's welcome. At the end, I wanted at least a few more hours of TF2. So if you want a solid single player FPS experience with big bot explosions, you can't go wrong with TF2!

Got this on sale for next to nothing. Really fun. Puts shooters made today to shame. I couldn't believe it's ten years old. Grab it in the sale, blast through the campaign. Play it on Hard - it's a bit easy overall, but it's fun all the way through.
