Good
First impressions with Alien or Odyssey 2001 vibe are ruined fast. Boring door opening simulatior with game breaking bugs. You can not load save in normal mode if you saved in VR - just infinite loading screen with 90% gpu load. Also at one moment quest item (full coolant container in gamma room) just missing so I was not able to continue (I checked the walkthgough and needed item just not in place where it should be and can not be found anywhere else)
гра ніби то не погана, але мені стало не приємно грати через баги, і приходилось зберігатися і перезагружатися (грав в VR версію)
Quite an interesting little game, especially for people who love sci-fi and exploring the outer space. While it's mostly a walking simulator, it does have some puzzles here and there, with the story being the main point. It has nice visuals, voice acting and atmosphere. Definitely give it a try for a weekend sit.
Played in VR Not enough safeties. Cool story, nice atmosphere. Unfortunately this can become an easter egg hunt if you miss the particular object and spend 30 minutes with no clue racing around the station. Game needs guard rails when you miss a clue and all you have is the last 2 hours of gameplay to back track on. Give up and look for a long for youtube playthrough, see the pad you missed as it didn't seem interactive when you played but you didn't try 3 times to pick it up.. (or you couldn't until a particular action was performed) Thought you looked at the painting...No you must click it in just the correct way! Align the dish, walk 5 minutes.... ooops align and online are not the same, walk back 5 more minutes see which button you missed and walk again 5 more minutes to the other workstation.... FFS... Also the VR in VR puzzles are not skippable and I dislike them.
It´s a great game, but the UI is kind of lacking. Also I would like more interactive way to open doors/airlocks. But thats just nitpicking. 7/10
This is not a game but tedious busywork. While I enjoy walking simulators like The Invincible and Firewatch because of their interesting characters and thought-provoking dialogue, I was disappointed in Titan Station. The station itself looks great, reminiscent of classics like Alien and 2001: A Space Odyssey. Those first walks down its long corridors feel tense at first, until you realize that there is nothing there. All those long corridors, boring "puzzles", and dull dialog are just there to pad the runtime while you run back and forth between the same three spots, doing the same things over and over. Overall, the game demands no real thought. Whenever it asks you to fetch something, it’s placed directly in your path. You simply follow instructions, only to be rewarded with a clumsily delivered exposition dump that spells the story out for you. No exploration or deduction is required. The story itself just illustrates that the author(s) have no idea how technology works and are not equipped to handle philosophical ideas. They just raise questions without having anything to say about them. Every story beat feels borrowed from other stories, ones that handled the same ideas better. The characters and dialogue are flat, mostly exposition, with little charm or personality. The voice actors give it their all, but the script doesn’t give their characters anything interesting to say. Everything in this game feels artificial. Style, but no substance.
