About
BURN is a psychological horror game set aboard a derelict, gothic space station. As an investigator sent to the convent station St. Maria, you must uncover the fate of its six missing crew members and piece together the unsettling truth lurking within its halls.
Zero gravity first person movement - propel yourself through the environment with unique 3 dimensional movement
Horror based around building paranoia and a sense of impending doom
A short experience intended to last around an hour
Immersive UI and systems
Environmental storytelling
Set in the convent station "St. Maria" find the 6 missing crew members and unravel the mystery of the station as danger draws near. Reroute power to each section of the ship and discover what lies waiting.
We understand that the zero gravity movement can cause motion sickness in some players, and have added a multitude of settings to combat this, like an FOV slider, a motion blur toggle, and a VR inspired additional vignette.

This is by no means a bad game; it has a lot of good things going for it. Fumbling around in zero G is pretty cool. The ambiance and rising tension were great. The visual set pieces and style were awesome. Other aspects left me wanting more. Uncovering new audio/text logs from around the ship didn't really change my perception of the environment, characters, or the threat. I didn't see much narrative beyond "people did a thing and then things went wrong". Most disappointingly, I felt like the fantastic buildup led to an abrupt and anticlimactic ending. The ending was still visually appealing, but I was expecting a slightly more prolonged and horrifying payoff. If you're looking for an hour of a spooky and eerie space walk, give it a shot and support some indie devs. But if you go into it expecting something like other horror games, you may be disappointed.
The aesthetics were good, mix of a W40K and Dead Space, sound design was okay, the other things of the game were not so good, not so bad. I appreciated the way the game tried to reinvent the movement mechanics, however it ends up being frustating at times, i wonder if that's the reason the game is just an outright exploration experience. It's alright for it's price, kind of was left wanting more.
AWESOME. INDIE. GAME. For a couple of bucks you will get a unique experience that had me at the edge of my seat. It's a nice, short-and-sweet and never-seen-before play through. 100% recommend giving it a try.
Short and sweet, but mostly just short. Futzing around in that one hallway (you shall know it by its works, yea) in zero-G is the highlight of this one! Get it on sale.
Spooky space game. Fun short experience. The movement is not the easiest, but it ties into the game with the vibe. Definitely recommend.
9.5/10, needs vr support
Very good, short spooky game. Atmosphere was great and I was on the edge of my seat at what may come next.
Good game, very intriguing religious horror concept combined with sci fi trappings. Had me actually shuddering in fear.
Quality game. Great eerie vibes got me tweaking by the end.
A brief horror game in which you are tasked by 'The Church' with investigating a derelict research station and retrieving the artifact that its mysteriously disappeared crew recently obtained. This can only end well... Strap in for some zero-G graverobbing!
