It took me like 3-4 hours to get to space. Very cool game. Feels like GTA for kids (Im not a kid btw). If you want to get all the achievments its going to take more time. 8/10
insanely fun and really cool little game
A bite-sized, cute sandbox where you collect junk to travel to space during your summer break
What a fun treat! Definitely a game that can be beat in one sitting, but getting 100% can be a bit of a chore, just make sure you shovel in all places you can! This is an excellent companion alongside Wuppo, which was already so full of charm. Looking forward to the next title from snekflat!
10/10 Honestly, I was not expecting this game to be good. It has absolutely no right to be as good as it is! Think kid friendly GTA, that is this game. You can steal cars and sell them on the black market, you can harass an angry lemon child and run him over with your car, or you can try to flirt with the ladies and get friendzoned. A casual and funny little adventure with no stakes that is sure to make even the darkest hearts crack a smile or two. I honestly can't think of any cons.
With all the talk around GTA VI I saw this title mentioned in two videos about alternatives, and in both videos the few scenes I saw from Tiny Terry´s Turbo Trip made me smile and it was on sale, so I went for it. I wouldn´t call this an open world sandbox like GTA though, I get the comparison, and I can see the devs going "let´s make a silly GTA"; but mechanically wise this is more of a platformer collectathon set on this one open map with side quests rather than a succession of incresingly dificult maps like most collectathons are. It´s a rather bizarre combo, but quite frankly works perfectly with the cartoony style. But the real meat of the game in it´s writing and narrative. Terry it´s left alone during the summer and to avoid summer school he wants to get a job with a car (preferibly just the car without the job) to go to space. And to be honest, the main quest it´s like the most sane thing Terry does. Game it´s very very short, took me just around 6 hours to beat and get everything, but all that time I was smiling or actually laughing at the insanity of this world and Terry´s reaction and general personality, just his simplisctic death pan face on a cut during cinematics was enough to make me enjoy every minute of the time spend. Game really took me back to the early Xbox Live days of indies, it´s short but polished, unique yet familiar, and leaves you wanting more but understanding 20 hours more would have being overkill. A true hidden gem.
better than gta vi
