Off the beaten path, we have a game called Warriors of the Nile and Warriors of the Nile 2, both of which are essentially the same except that the second installment offers more content. At first glance, the game appears to resemble a chess game in terms of its gameplay, albeit with a battle system infused with Egyptian history. The game begins with a typical strategy game setup, where you move pieces and initiate attacks in a turn-based manner. However, the battles are relatively basic, with the option to upgrade units using tablets and other items. Notably, the game combines strategy with city-building elements, allowing players to construct a complex base with various buildings that can be used to upgrade units, recruit new characters, and unlock special abilities. The game's difficulty curve is well-balanced, neither too easy nor too complex, with boss battles that may require some grinding and unit upgrades to overcome. Fortunately, the game has no level cap, allowing players to continually improve their units and abilities. The graphics and sound effects are impressive, with an Egyptian-themed soundtrack that can be turned off if desired. The game's true strength lies in its unit upgrading and base-building mechanics, which provide a sense of progression and purpose. At a price point of around $11, the game is well worth the investment. The second installment offers more of the same gameplay, with some additional variables and content. Both games are easily accessible and can be played on the fly, similar to a mobile game, but with much more depth and strategy involved. While the battles may seem basic at first, the game's true complexity lies in its base-building and unit-upgrading mechanics, which offer a rich and engaging gameplay experience. Overall, I highly recommend both games, particularly for fans of strategy and city-building games. It's definitely set for a unique experience and if you want to quit game if you like me and don't have a lot of time it's a good game to throw in and play a few rounds and save and move on which is another really good aspect about the game and I did leave out the fact that you do have tablets that you unlock that you can use for special abilities and trust me I'm not even scratching the surface on the upgrading system the base building and the variables you can have for each unit to make them stronger and better and you can do them in different ways to where the games not the same like you can play the same game two or three times and it be different every time either the setup will be random or the units themselves will be different enough to where they won't be like the first game you played it's a very unique and interesting game like I said I highly recommend it very fun game. 8/10
I love love love love this game. Very fun, with a lot of playstyles to choose from. Very addicting because it's a rogue-like and the runs are never the same. There's a lot of content to play, with challenges, characters to unlock, and difficulty levels to beat. And the art style is very pleasing. I love this game so much.
