Cute and funny
Looks great but it's bugged and clunky. A shame.
希望之后能出个剧情回放的功能,毕竟空间站的电脑让某一个当储存媒介进行交互应该没啥问题吧
Hard to believe this game released back in 2021, time flies alright.... This is a really fun game, only hard part is the boss obviously. Sometimes you can cheap them out if you have good cores you've "tried your best" to keep all the way to the boss and other times you are just screwed. I still hate that my friend who made it (and his team now I guess) updated the game to only have stages before fighting the boss up to 3, it used to be 4. Now that I've beaten the game I rather just run around destroying things rather than fight the boss. I really wish before he stopped updating the game he made some endless mode or a 50 to 100 floor challenge or just simply an endless mode so I can keep running around playing all day. I swear he showed me something else that was coming before he stopped working on the game which was a New boss and I can't find that info anymore and I haven't talked to the guy in years since now he owns a company somewhere in Korea. Anyway long story short, the buffs/debuffs in this game are great and very well thought out. it's a few I hate but...mmm you know, that's games for you. Before the full stop update he added new weapons such as Miku's Leak stick (Miku fan when I asked) and other references from animes like Fist of The North Star ATATATATATA fist which does hella damage but you get buffed. Oh and some vtuber that I don't know much about has a weapon in this game too. Hats you unlock give different traits such as for example at the start of a level a weapon box will be placed if you want to throw away your current weapon and other things. Again, it's a really great game to the point even the soundtrack is awesome. Thanks my brother.

plays like a dream on steam deck handheld up to 90fps on high settings! just set resolution in the game's "property settings" to 1920x1080p and check box under it to match inner and outer display.this will open up your resolution options for "BOTH"your docked display AND HANDHELD.then, once your in the game, just match resolution to 1920x1080p (90fps) and set to full screen and quality on max and it will run like a star.enjoy!
Story is not deep but it's decent and it has lots of well known JP VAs. However, the story ended up open ended, like it's setting up a sequel. But since this game released since 2021 and no news anymore about it then it might as well be abandoned, which is sad since this seems to be their most popular game. Feels like there's a lot more cut content somewhere given how the records has a lot more depth on what happened in the ship and that ending. Also the Metallic childs you fought has some anime personalities that could've at least have some more in-depth background stories and their thoughts of the rebellion given that they're similar tech as Rona herself. Also I don't feel like completing everything since chips amount you get don't scale so it's very grindy to unlock things. The rogue-lite elements are too harsh as well, I tend to get useless mini-cores (the buffs) or bugged cores (debuff) too much which makes it hard to know what build you'll end up or ending up not being able to build anything since the mini-cores expire too fast that you have to abuse few mechanics just to keep the good buffs. Basically the damage buffs are too rare it takes me 2-4 runs before I get one. It's always battery which is a non-issue for all weapon types anyways so its useless. Same with supercores (permabuffs for that mission), always get useless ones
I like roguelites and I agree that this one is unique however with that said its really not the best and heres why and to preface I only encountered one bug so what I encountered is likely intended gameplay. 1. The dodging and block mechanic is not 100% reliable in that some times even though you hit the input a second earlier the game ignores it about 30% of the time in my experience even with full charge. 2. Miniboss characters are often poorly placed and have the spongiest hp bars that the most reliable method is tossing enemies at them for collision damage. 3. Some miniboss characters can grab and their range is absurd, about twice their occupied space in a 180 degree area in front of them with dodging often being ineffective and blocking entirely useless. 4. Difficulty slops upward hard after the first boss defeat which may be due to biomes or a difficulty curve i couldnt tell. 5. weapon choices are pretty slim in most runs often being locked behind an absurd ingame price tag or in the corner of a map if you're lucky and usually without an S-teir weapon the main boss is an absurd slog 6. Main boss hp bars are tanky af and require more patience than skill to beat 7. Upgrades/costumes are absurdly expensive, for context in two full runs I could buy one upgrade to a stat and after 4 runs I managed to afford one decent costume. 8. THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DIALOUGE! its so insanely long think the usual "could have been an email" sort of scenario and i get it if it was for story events sure but it occurs with every damn npc even a sentient volleyball thing for a sidequest.
I discovered this game way back in 2021, and admittedly downloaded it for free on IGGGames. To my surprise, i fell in love with it rather quickly. And I'd return to it frequently. It is a roguelite through and through, but it definitely has it's own identity. You really have to play it to find out. In a short time of messing around in the game, the mechanics suddenly "click", and you get hooked. I forgot all about this game a few years ago. But recently I've been returning to some of my fave roguelites, like Hades, and then I suddenly remembered Metallic Child. I decided to look it up on Steam and pay for it properly, as i should have years ago. Coming back to it, I still love it very much. Trust me when I say this is a VERY underrated game. If you like roguelites and anime cyberpunk artstyle with a big dose of cuteness, then it's a must play. And make no mistake, the cuteness is misleading, because this game is for gamers who enjoy some difficulty. And there is even the occasional dark humor sprinkled throughout too, interestingly enough. This game is for adults. Kids will struggle. Glad I remembered to add this to my library. Absolutely worth every penny.
