3. Warum stehen so viele Artikel in unterschiedlichen Regalen? Also überlegt es euch vorher etwas. PS.
You know, there's really nothing crazy wrong with the game, but there is ONE thing that absolutely made me so angry I had to just uninstall the game and quit once I got to the fourth store. When you place things down, in label mode at least, sometimes all the products don't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fit and you have to take everything off the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ shelf to try and fix it. Oh my god it's rage inducing.
VERY satisfying sorting mechanics, achievements are roasting me, good price, many stores, great game! <3
It's a cute game but the sorting is very frustrating without labels on the shelves and no clear idea of where everything is meant to go. I spent so much time rearranging things on the first level just to clear it, then the second level... the toilet paper has no obvious place where it's going to fit and that's just annoying.
The game is another entry in the tidy genre, which is characterized by a big pile of mess that you have to organize by placing items on shelves. There have already been several games copying the original formula, some good and some bad, but innovation is necessary. However, we have become so accustomed to the established mechanics, which are generally decent, that any change is not always received well. Progression is a bit different because you go through several stages and stores that you need to organize, starting with a small kiosk and eventually moving on to larger supermarkets. The idea is familiar: you grab items from a pile and place them on shelves. You can carry several items regardless of their type, but the game adds a basket that is supposed to explain how you can carry so many things at once. The idea is fair, but it ultimately makes the experience worse. Instead of having invisible pockets that can store anything, the basket has limited space that fills up differently depending on the size of the objects. Something large can fill the basket after only two items, forcing you to run back and forth much more often. Second, while items are automatically stacked inside the basket, those in the front obscure the ones in the back. If you turn the basket option off, you can carry more items (eight maximum) and immediately see exactly what you are carrying. There are tags above the shelves that show what type of item should go there and how many copies are needed, but the tags are tiny. The problem is that items come in several variations with very small differences, such as olive oil bottles with slightly brighter or darker necks. There are also situations where colorblind players may have trouble distinguishing between green and red, or blue and purple. The differences are visible when you are holding an item, but not when you are looking at the tiny shelf tags. Ironically, though, the tags end up saving the organizing experience, which is not particularly good because the game is missing many of the usual quality of life features. As always, items can be placed anywhere, but since shelves come in different sizes, you may not have enough space to fill a shelf with all of the same items. For example, if you place a bottle that comes in a stack of 16 into a spot intended for dog food that comes in a stack of 6, you can run out of space after only a couple of bottles because they are larger and take up more room. The worst design choice is that the game allows you to do this in the first place. Not only that, but it also allows you to mix completely different types of items on the same shelf. You can simply grab random items from a pile and place them on a single shelf without any indication that they do not belong there. You are only stopped when you run out of space and need to either stack items on top of each other or place them in the front row. At that point, the item currently in your hand will turn red, which is something that should have happened when you first tried to add different items together. The game also refuses to let you stack items of the same type but different colors, which is another indication that something has been placed incorrectly. This can actually work in your favor if you fill the bottom rows and the back of the shelves first, as this prevents accidental placement of the wrong items. That is another reason why the tags are useful. At least you know where each type of item belongs, while the item in your hand shows how many copies of that item you have, allowing you to quickly compare the number with the one shown on the shelf tag. Also, even though a tag may show a specific color, placement does not matter that much for individual types. If you have a shelf reserved for three types of chips, each marked with its own tag, you can easily place all the blue chips under the red tag and still see the sparkle indicating that the shelf is complete. The only thing that really matters is that the items are all the same, meaning you cannot have red chips mixed in with blue chips on the same shelf. The tags and the option to disable the basket were not originally included in the game and were only added recently. Both additions make the experience considerably better, which says quite a lot about the original design. Powers are another vital element of the genre. Here, you gain a new power each time you complete a stage. This approach is completely fine, but the powers themselves are not particularly exciting. Sprinting and stretching are just there to push the number of powers up to four, while vision mode, which highlights objects matching the one currently in your hands, and magnet that pulls items to you, are actually useful. In short, once I got accustomed to the game's mechanics, I started enjoying myself much more. Another huge plus is that there are no silly achievements requiring you to complete an entire stage without using powers, which would only waste your time. There is only one speedrunning achievement, and it is easy enough to complete on the first stage.
I think this game is pretty good now after the recent update so you actually know where you're supposed to put everything, since at some points it was really annoying to find the locations on your own.. since some things didn't fit right on some shelves etc. there was also a bunch of bugs I've noticed where when you picked up some items and dropped them where the item would "disappear" i thought but it was actually just under the floor where you had to use Q to use the magnet skill to actually get the item... there were also moments where the open/closed sign didn't work to click on. After the update how ever I haven't had as many issues and it's so much nicer and more fun in my opinion as i was wanting a totally brain dead game where i just chilled out and put stuff on shelves. The bugs before I've not noticed at all now and I've tried the game maybe 2 hours or so after. I would love this to get a co-op option as I think it would be so so much fun with friends :3 TLDR: update made game better, i think it's worth the 5$ for sure would be great with co-op <3
