I won't have any more hours on this game because at this point the game is just meant to frustrate you. This type of game, packing things, is meant for someone like me. But they've ruined it with dumb mechanics that aren't fun and aggravating levels that also aren't fun. The bumpy ride is terrible. I don't know who on the team thought it was a good idea, or why it was implemented as a necessary part of the game. As something extra you could do that has no impact? Sure. But making it mandatory? Dumbest decision I've seen in a 'cozy' puzzle game in a long time. With that, some levels that are super tight to the point of being not fun if you want to get the extra items in. I should be thinking about what I'm doing yes and the way to stack things, I should not be spending hours on one level. And lastly, there has been a softlock bug since day 1 they haven't patched, instead they've just shouted they are steam verified now. In cam 2005 in the back of the windowed van, things fall out. A closed van. Because of the stupid bumpy ride mechanic. I know it's falling out the van, I have a video of the item being highlighted as falling out. The only way to get past the level is just to spam retry until you get lucky or again leave the extra items out so you don't hit where the barrier for the van is clearly too far in. So no. I would never reccomend this game as is. Despite it having been on my wishlist since it was announced, this has been truly nothing but a dissapointment.
The game is seemingly about packing a bunch of belongings into a tight space, usually a vehicle. It's fun! But then they randomly introduce the "survive the bumpy ride" mechanic. Ok, whatever. Except this mechanic doesn't really work well. On the Cam 2005 level (about mid way through the game), things "fall off" the truck.. except they are actually falling out of the second vehicle: a completely closed in van. I spent over an hour of the playtime trying to work around the issue but stuff continued to glitch out of the van during the bumpy ride. Devs do not seem interested in fixing these bugs as far as I can tell, which is unfortunate. Otherwise it would be a fun game.
Packing and making things fit while moving is one of my favourite things in the world and I was so excited about this game because of it But omg I can't with these controls and weird POV The puzzles seem super fun and I love the extra challenges but I get so frustrated with the mechanics I wish I could play and enjoy it more
I'll be super honest here. I liked the first few levels, but this game is the PRIMAL opposite of relaxing lol. This game makes me violently angry. xD Worse than golf! It's almost impossible to make things fit. I like a challenge, trust me. I do. But holy... this is frustrating and kinda ruins the fun of it.
Was genuinely surprised to see this game has mixed reviews - I've been having a great time, challenge included! The game is incredibly forgiving along with the challenge - you have a single button press to undo or redo moves you make (as many times as you want), can manipulate items precisely, and regarding the apparently dreaded moving minigame for one level (which I found charming and honestly loved the ingenuity of): the game immediately resets you to where you had completed the challenge, and highlights the affected item at the "failed" screen, allowing you to immediately identify what needs fixing. Some levels are relaxing, some challenging, and I think if you enjoy physics-based manipulation or puzzle games with a high potential for forgiveness, you'll like this game as much as I have. Edit: Grammar fixes
Had to refund it because of the excruciating motion sickness I got from playing this. I had it wishlisted for so long as well :(
Cute game. The story doesn't give many details but you're able to infer what's going on. I was dreading the bumpy road setting as many players hated it, but it wasn't that bad for me. I'm not sure if it was adjusted or it is just less bumpy in Sylvie's story. Had to stop playing because the motion sickness was crazy. This was my first packing game and I definitely recommend it.
It's a bummer that this game has mixed reviews, because I really liked it. Most of the negative reviews reference the "bumpy ride" mechanic which, honestly, probably would have been a deal-breaker for me, too, if it hadn't been fixed shortly after launch. The game now tells you at the outset if there's a bumpy ride lying in wait for you at the end of the level, and lets you disable it without any penalties to your score. You should probably do it-- this is a game that starts off deceptively easy, but starts getting gnarly pretty quickly. This game has some of the trappings of a cozy game, but it's really much more of a puzzle game that requires you to really plan ahead to get everything into the limited space you have. The controls and physics are a little wonky at times, but I never found it to be too big of a problem. If any of this sounds appealing to you, definitely give it a shot. It's not perfect, but it does what it sets out to, and does it well.
I've really tried to like this game, but it's just very frustrating. And not in how complicated the puzzles are, that's the whole point of the game and i'm fine with that. But the mechanics, the janky physics, the weird controls, the fact that EVERYTHING FEELS STICKY. The way this game has been coded requires more patience than i have.
Physics suck in this game and keeps changing position when moving around. ♥♥♥♥♥ not fun cause it keeps doing stupid ♥♥♥♥ like this.
