while it can be fun and something similar to the old arcade cabinet game offroad. there are plenty of glitches at this review time. not really fullscreen, sometimes hidden objects, my guess is object hit box seperated from image frame, how do you change camera angles to first person? even in offline mode using a controller you cant pause the game to quit, you must reach for the Esc key. online is just playing against ghost recordings of "racers". I hope it gets better, for now it is not bad but not great.
Great little top-down racing game, reminiscent on Skidmarks. Superb handling and physics for a game of that sort. Highly recommendable with online championship which makes this game alive and kickin'.

In early access but already a fun game. The controls are dead on and the AI is annoyingly good, which makes a nice challenge. Reminiscent of the good old games like super sprint and skidmarks.
RC Pro Am in 3D with BeamNG physics. Me likey mucho, si
Really fun game.
Recomendo o game!
Excellent little sandbox racer very reminiscent of Super Off Road except with more tracks and vehicles. ThunderWheels feels to me like I remember Super Off Road feeling with a few omissions and a few additions. You do not collect nitros and upgrade your vehicle with your winnings, you now earn points based off your ranking in a series of races with the winner determined at the end. In addition to the classic static view there are two other views; the tethered third person camera is preferred to better anticipate the terrain on your vehicle. This game is simple and it runs very smooth. Very much worth the price.
I was a big fan of the Super Off Road arcade game as a kid and I was hoping to relive that experience with ThunderWheels. I've been following the game for a few years while waiting for the game to come out of Early Access, but finally just decided to buy it on sale. Unfortunately, my friends and I played it four-player local for about 20 minutes and the first impressions weren't positive. The truck controls are just too finicky and we would easily get messed up beyond recovery. It was hard to tell who was winning or how far we progressed in the race. It wasn't competitive or fun. In addition, the interface is clunky to navigate for multiplayer. I wish each player could just join the game and make their own car choices at the same time. It isn't clear if there is any difference between vehicles. The music doesn't seem to fit the game and is too loud. You also can't seem to easily quit part way through a race. Perhaps we gave up too soon, but I decided to get a refund. I might consider purchasing ThunderWheels again with a better sale and/or with improvements. I'd like to see some vehicle upgrades like Super Off Road. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the game has been updated much in the last couple of years besides some minor bugs.
Super neat game that appeals to nostalgia. Game is fairly well polished already and a lot of fun. Driving doesn't take long to get the hang of with some joypad finesse. Please continue developing!
Driving control is all over the place, menus are inexcusably sluggish for a game made in the last twenty years, and for as much as I love SID music, it's way too loud. Not what I was looking for, even at the low price point.
