About
Use a Scream Note on a friend by writing their username - and the monster carries it out.
They get jumpscared. And they'll scream, guaranteed.
The only true friendship test game on Steam. 2-8+ players.
Work with your friends to escape the haunted house together...
If you can manage to cooperate and not jumpscare each other out.
You climb the haunted house to search for the exit, but you end up finding cursed pages left by the demons who don't want you out.
Over 222+ unique jumpscares, each one crazier than the last.
Really, we put the craziest & most unexpected jumpscares in this game, even ones that reach into your PC (optional).
You'll all decide that you want to try to reach the exit together tonight, but at the last moment someone will pull a jumpscare ruining everything, and you'll be falling off a bridge 5 floors down.
This game was specifically designed so when you use a Scream Note on your friend, they scream. Not a fake streamer horror scream, I mean, they are really, going to scream, guaranteed - more than any other game on Steam. The jumpscares don't rely on horror. They rely on your friend being the one who just made you lose your spot from the exit.
Streamer mode included (1-8 players, viewers jumpscare you with twitch points / donations / subs / bits).
Triples your average stream revenue based on real-streamers data.
UPDATE:
Changing my review to do not recommend. Racist name is in the game trailer that I didn't see before. Come on devs...what is wrong with you? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW I had a lot of fun; it was a good one-off. Game is decent for $5, but needs major tweaks to make it more enjoyable and worth the purchase for the *average* player(s). However, if you're used to rage games and parkour, you'll have a good time in its current state and I recommend it. If not, you should wait for tweaks or just not play it at all. (More info below) It didn't feel fair to leave a thumbs down since we did have a lot of fun, so I did want to be upfront on the limitations of enjoyment. If I could leave a mixed for recommendation I would.
Positives:
- TONS of jump scares. It's really impressive how many there are. There are some HILARIOUS ones too. - Loved the wonkyness beyond typical jump scares. I don't want to spoil for others, but they were impressively hilarious - Had a Twitch integration for chat that I might run it back for *if* there's updates to stuff below in Feedback - Ran fine for me
Negatives:
- Lighting is a bit too dark to see the start of some of the more difficult parkour spots - More variety for the "basic" jump scares or lower their spawn rate - Parkour is too difficult for any gamer that is subpar at parkour
In depth Feedback
(ignore if you don't want spoilers)
The parkour is way too difficult for the average gamer. At the start once you hit the bevel posts on the second kitchen chair, the game is basically over for you early in at that point. It shouldn't be that difficult early in. It'll cause a ton of people to quit. The fridge is another huge pain point that I don't think the average parkour casual is going to get past. The rare/epic jump scares are too rare. They're some of the best, but we got maybe a handful of them while playing for ~2hrs with 4 people, and that was even with spamming them. For people that are going to play a one-off game, the odds need to be bumped up on them. There's over 200 jumpscares. Just need to make it more likely to roll better variety. I think that's why a lot of people are complaining about the jump scares below is because they didn't get to get farther to even get a chance to have the good ones proc. The few basic/boring ones at the start and not getting far into the parkour will just have people thinking the game sucks. Lighting needs some fixing in certain parkour spots, specifically that chair. I know the goal is dark for horror vibe and more jump scares, but I really think you guys should tone the lighting up a bit. People are going to already focus in on the game because they're trying to parkour and not fall. Brighter lighting or not, the jump scares will get them. If you don't recommend the in-game voice chat because the quality is so bad, just rip it out all together. Targeting players is also too difficult. You should just be able to write their name and send it off (imo). The names to look at to target is very inconsistent. Sometimes you won't see player names at all for a while or if they're overlapped and moving too much so you have to wait.
This game is actually really really bad. I bought it as a gift for 3 friends to try and I regretted it after the first 10 seconds of gameplay. Tried it out for about 35 minutes or so and it's just awful. 0/10.
this was the worst AI slop ive ever seen. you lot are a bunch of dry biskuits you tea towels.
I never played such a bad game: no lore, no fun, and nothing to do besides bad, repeating and uncreative "jumpscares". It is just a worse version of Chained Together or similar titles. Please don't call this a game, thank you!
I was kind of excited for this but its not the best. I didn't realize that this was gonna be a platformer like only up. Its kind of janky but the platforming was kind of fun. The jumpscares were not great and usually just throw you around causing you to fall pretty far. Might be good for streamers but was just meh.
Yeah this might be the worst game i've ever played.
