About
Thronefall is a minimalist strategy game where you build a humble kingdom by day and defend it by night. Balance economy and defense by fortifying walls, recruiting troops, and charging into battle yourself to protect your stronghold from relentless waves of attackers.
Perfect for quick sessions or fortification marathons, step into a streamlined and endlessly replayable twist on tower defense!

10 Maps. From the mountainous Nordfels to the vibrant Wildbach, progress through a range of maps with different terrain, weather, enemies, buildings and challenges.
9 Unlockable Weapons. As a Warrior King, seize a weapon to take with you into combat, from Battleaxe to Blood Wand.
Over 50 Unlockable Perks. Take up to 5 perks that bestow certain advantages, and optional Mutators to ramp up the difficulty.

Protect your Kingdom with Walls, Barricades, Shrines and Towers.
Expand your economy with Houses, Bridges, Gold Mines, Harbors, Mills and Fields. These buildings grant you gold every morning – if they survive.
Research upgrades with the Castle Center, Blacksmith and Royal Forge.
Build your military with Barracks, Archery Ranges and Hero's Quarters. Your forces include Knights, Berserks, Crossbowmen, Fire Archers, and special Heroes such as Golems and Mages.

When night falls, an increasingly strong succession of foes threaten to overwhelm your Kingdom. The sun only rises when they're dead.
From wooden Barrel Knights and Flying Mages to Ogres, Slimes, Wasps and Catapults, the land is teeming with danger.
If your Castle Center is razed, you lose.
As King, lead from the vanguard and defend your little Kingdom til you see the sun rise.

Reviews
Fantastic game! Relaxing and intriguing at the same time.
good balance of simple and in-depth gameplay, very fun!
Amazing game. Very fun. F##K Kingshot, this is the original. This game fully deserves the overwhelmingly positive all-time reviews rating that it has.
This tower defense game is an absolute joy. The artistic style is very attractive and the mechanics are fun to get down. I highly recommend a controller as using a keyboard was not my favorite playstyle. I do wish that the AI engaged in combat easier as sometimes I feel they are just standing there and don't engage because I have them set in place. You can't see a lot of times when they are actively engaging combat (at least for the melee ones) and I wish there was a way to notice that a bit easier. It does have nice strategy to implement with figuring out where to play what. Sometimes it is a bit difficult to manage balancing building things that generate income and building enough to have defense/offense. Highly recommend this game if you enjoy tower defenses. It has nice replayability.
cute!
Nice little tower defense, interesting without being too challenging. Takes around 35 hours for all achievements, up to 50 hours if you include the custom scenarios. Very satisfying to play, and the art style is great. On the (small) downsides : - Decent balance, could be worse but a lot of perks & some weapons are quite useless compared to most others. And as usual with games with a limited number of slots, utility gets trashed for raw power. Could benefit from having like 2 "utility / niche" slots. - Some quests are weird, like one quest gives you the perk that makes your walls explode when destroyed, and at the same time the perk that heal your walls so well they never gets destroyed. The purpose of perk based quests should be to incentivize to use actual good but not obvious combos. - Not enough upgrade choices overall, It's not bad, but could be better. And again some are straight up better than others. - Most difficulty modifiers are interesting, but the score modifiers associated are quite random. I never picked some of them for the high scores quests because you're basically playing hands bound for +10 or +20% score. - Not enough informations. Actual tower stats diplayed on hover would be great. Number of kills / damage dealt per buliding also. Post-game stats too.
