Explore, discover, uncover. On your adventure you encounter strange creatures in unexpected places—pay attention to their warnings. Whether they despise, admire, or ignore you, your path is yours to forge. Stay alert; these encounters may offer insights, but ultimately, it’s up to you to push forward and find the answers you seek.

A bloodstained white collar
Dirt on your shoes
Your shoulders are aching
Is this but a ruse?
A coven is suspect
A church is aflame
Who is the culprit?
Who is to blame?
Ocean screaming,
Twisting turning
Mouth is dry,
Eyes are burning
But you must tread on,
There is no remorse
Brush the saltwater film

As of the latest update (Qiosk's Plenty Update), the devs have removed a really cool feature for the sake of "optimization", specifically, realistic/picture-in-picture scopes were replaced with a basic "increase fov to zoom in" effect. While the game itself is excellent, I worry that the devs may end up making decisions that lead to it getting worse over time, instead of better. If you're willing to take a chance on an early access game, I absolutely recommend you get it. But otherwise, you might be better off waiting to see what it's like after the full release.
Possibly my GOTY for 2026, no joke
After a little learning curve this game has become somewhat of a dangerous addiction to me, in a good way. This has everything that a good FPS need to be. I'd forgotten how good it feel to check corners, adjusting my game play to each gun, having fun just going at my own speed, and the absolute satisfying sound of different guns. The crafting dynamic is phenomenal. Being able to use an oil to help reload a massive machine gun almost comically fast, or adding an enchantment to to make my magnum fire homing bullets. Trial and error for all crafting are both fun and strategic. The rouge element is just right and you quickly get over the horror of losing your inventory with another play through [BTW, the rouge mechanic penalties can be eliminated in easy mode, but that extra danger of losing your stuff adds a little spice to the game IMO] This is definitely a work of love. Every time I think a draw back exists, like "well ***, I really wish I could have more space for my storage" a new area progression gives me that. OR "***, that combination of oils, enchantments really stinks up my fire rate" a way to respect it exists once an area is unlocked. The story is decent, but not really the star of the show. It's the gun play. Kudos to the Perfect Random development team, you crazy Swedes have captured lightning in a bottle with this game!
It's not exactly what it's internet marketing is selling it as. After 20 hours on and off between updates, I'd tell anyone to give this one a pass for now. The art, music, and theme are all excellent, the overall design of the game is great, but it just doesn't preform well in any of the gameplay aspects it's going for. Loot is sparse. Despite their being tons of guns and armor items to try out, 90% of the loot is healing items, and there's little to no options or opportunities to purchase weapons and armor from the hub/safezone. I've beaten each level several times, and there's still dozens of guns and armors I've never gotten to try; Good luck when an update comes out and they add new items, as the only way to experience them is grinding through an RNG pool on the same couple maps with high chest counts. The enemies are fine. Their designs are nice and they're varied. Early on it feels like the humans are just a reskin of the goblins, but past that they start to have unique traits like flying, blinding you, sneak attacks etc. They're a little bullet spongey on the recommended difficulty, and the AI is nothing to write home about, but overall they're not broken or buggy, and provide a challenge without being impossible. The game doesn't really have any roguelike/lite mechanics. There's no character progression or upgrades, just a stash of items you've made it home with, any of which you'll lose upon death. Depending on how runs go, this either leaves you with boxes full of mostly junk, or copies of the same weapons/armor you like and can find taking up the space. The quest system is also almost entirely based on RNG, with quests typically being "Find this one healing item out of 500" or "Bring X monster drop with a random drop%", and completing the quests only rewards you with more storage space (And rerolls for the shops, which will continue to sell nothing after each roll.) The biggest selling point for the game is it's gun customization. You can use up to 5 upgrades on each weapon to change it's characteristics drastically. In theory, this is the most entertaining aspect of the game; It's very satisfying to end up with 20-homing-rocket-per-shot shotgun, or find that perfect combo that clears a room/boss in a blink. But with the scarcity of loot, both weapons and upgrades, it becomes more frustrating to experiment with new guns/idea than fun, often times ending up with weapons that are notably worse after upgrading them than they were at base, unless you're following a guide or recreating a great one you've already used. I can imagine somebody picking up on the best min/max stats and strategies for each gun/type over time, but you'll still be left with the seemingly endless grind to acquire the specific upgrades you need to make a good build happen. All in all, the progression feels too hardcore for how cartoony/shallow the gameplay loop is. It'd be something I'd hop on every once in a while if I had easier options with experimenting with gun/gear builds, via some kind of gun/armor store that sells more than 0-1 weapons a run. They recently added a merchant that lets you re-purchase guns you've max ranked (For a ludicrous cost), which helps a little, but doesn't address the issue of the guns you can't find run after run, or the upgrades you need to make them playable. It's a 5/10, I'd keep an eye on it for future updates and full release, but I wouldn't really recommend it to it's audience in it's current state.
Great game, really fun. Only issue is the straight jacket. It auto equipped and i lost everything. 5 full hours of grinding a single weapon lost because of an item that was not in my inventory auto equipping for some reason
It's a good game now and has high potential moving forward-- assuming the devs don't sell out. There's a lot more to this game than I thought.
Just to clarify: this Game is OK in its current state. Game hasn't been fun since the Oil "Rebalance" update. They basically just nerfed everything into the ground, making oils useless, or just tedious to find a good combo. They focus on making some of the cool guns too gimicky, making them feel like a chore to use. Every update they bring is some garbage content filler I'm sure nobody asked for like the latest one; doors will slam shut preventing you from just running past enemies. (Why?) This game was good, I bought it when it first released. You could make crazy OP builds that were FUN, or challenge yourself and make a gun unique to what you wanted to do. Now, it feels like a hassle. Perfect Random has neutered this game. Don't buy this game unless you can get it ultra cheap, unless they fix the bs.
Mainly a console player never played on pc before sore a dude on youtube and friend mention it downloaded the demo on xbox for about 30 hours. Needed more bought it on steam loved it up the with risk of rain for best rouge-lite to me, so exited for multiplayer and the eventual console release definetly gonna grab it again. Had some hardware issues but trusty pipe and setting game to 30 fps fixed it most of the time if you have a proper gaming pc or a powerfull laptop would highly recomend this game perfect blend of rougelike and extraction shooter.
This game is awesome, its challenging yet fun. It allows me to be a loot goblin and face my hording issue head on. It also has a quick learning curve and what feels like endless combos to try out.
Одна из самый балдежных игр в которые я играл, как же я рад что нашел эту игру :D
One of my most fav kinds of roguelike shooters extractions game With Unique gun mechanics very addicting, could not recommend it enough Well deserved all the buck to buy this <3 P.S: Would like the dev to consider adding pets help fight with fun abilities perhaps ? ( maybe let pets with scroll or small inventory to hold items for us or smt )
