Thief VR: Legacy of Shadow

I remember the original Thief games but never did dwell on them too much. So whether this game is unfaithful to the OG games is only known by the true fans. That being said I did find it a fun little romp. Took awhile for me to realise that guards don't always see you, even when you think they have. Keep out of the light, or in darkish area's. One thing though that did grind me a bit was having to deal with several guard voices talking over each other and saying the same dialogue over n' over again. It ended up a sort of torturous situation lol. I had to go in the settings and shut the talking off.. until I had to turn it up again for important new mission info. Oh, and another thing that disappointed was the ending (didn't really have one). It's like the devs simply ran out of idea's. Get in a sale preferably.

I'm on Mission 4 and so far it's been what I expected, a real thief game in VR. No too challenging or particularly exciting, but is immersive. Hiding in the shadows, lurking about looking for loot, is rewarding. The level maps are not too large and confusing but on Mission 3 I was stuck with where to go a couple of times, but eventually worked it out. It's a puzzle maze you need to unlock. Enemy AI is really dumb, but as you have no way to defend yourself, other than a lucky arrow (of very limited number), you really have to dance with the shadows most of the time. This game should be a proof of concept and hopefully someone will make a more action-stealth game like a Dishonored in VR.
