They Bleed Pixels is a fiendishly difficult action platformer inspired by H.P. Lovecraft and classic horror.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 2 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

TBP is an incredibly frustrating experience with later levels typically taking me over an hour to complete. As other reviews allude to, there is some jank physics and a questionable decision to map all different attack types to a single button when many buttons go unused but this isn't really why TBP is so difficult to complete; its unreasonable level design combined with floods of enemies that require impossibly consistent precision or the perseverance to get lucky. I give it a thumbs up because the game is beatable, there's no technical issues, and absurd difficulty is appealing to some. But potential players should be aware that this goes beyond a Celeste or a Super Meat Boy and, while there is a cool little silent story interspersed between levels, the game doesn't have much else to offer.
Got it thinking it was an action platformer, but it's a punishing precision platformer with a bit of lame action added to it. Absolutely not recommended if you are expecting action. Considering the amount of positive reviews, I assume this is a good game for some platformer gamers. For me, it felt like unfair punishment. The problem is not that it's a hard game, the problem is that difficulty comes because of how bad the controls feel. The problem is not that it's a precision platformer, the problem is that you are meant to be precise with delayed controls. Even without being a fan of platforming game, I have enjoyed games like Battleblock Theater and Brave Escape, where controls are responsive and just feel great to play. Here, I was dying most of the time because I would hit jump, the jump wouldn't happen, so I would hit it again fast (because, like I mentioned, this is precision platformer, so lots of spikes, few platforms, so no jumping was dead), and the game would gift me a double jump leading straight to my death. Same situation with attacks, there is an attack when you don't move, a hold attack when you don't move and an attack when you move (that sometimes can be a dash), and most of the times it feels like there is some type of delay. Worst part about this last comment is that combat is boring, not even hard, it's just a way to delay you from the platforming part, so, everytime you reload, you need to deal with the tedious encounters, or sometimes the enemies just act like moving traps, because you need to avoid them while jumping. Anyways, pixel art was pretty good, but soundtrack annoyed me (had to mute after a few minutes).

good
A very solid 2D pixel platformer with nice challenges and a darkly fun story.
tis been forever but i still sometimes use the mc as profile pic so it seems to have stuck with me pretty good
I really tried to like this but the delayed controls just feels bad
ye
beutiful if u want spr meet boy with beet em up combat
Platform hell game with some combat and combo mechanics. It put me through 15 hours of pain to complete every level in normal mode. I am not enough of a god to go for all collectables in addition to a few being hidden the last level's are just even more difficulty on top of the already inhuman difficulty. Never mind any of the deathless achievements.
