Thea 2: The Shattering

This game has a neat setting, fun exploration, interesting and bountiful encounters, and a mildly unique plot. That's the positive. The negative is that it is a total grind. It is designed to make you lose mid-game until you earn enough points to buy bonuses to boost you at the beginning. This is a shameful design and wasn't in the first game. After 50 hours, I've tried seven playthroughs, all to die near the same point with different tactics. And all of that has only earned me about 20 points. To unlock all the bonuses you need about 300 points... While the game is interesting, if you respect your time, look elsewhere.

It's an odd mixture of 4X survival game. Graphics so so, readability can be a bit difficult and there is a lot of hidden mechanics and time consuming unlocks, but the gameplay is so fun that once you start understanding how the game works you don't mind playing it to unlock more and more. I'm a bit late to writing a review so I will keep this review short. If you like Slavic vibes, 4x, survival, crafting and combat that is sort of deck builder based - I think you are in for a good time here. I think the game is a lot of fun so it's easy recommend if you are into 4x games. Be sure to check out videos and screenshots of the game because the graphics are outdated, but I don't mind that personally.

Great game if you take the time to learn the small mechanics. Definitely not something you figure out in the first few attempts. I'd recommend not starting your base immediately and take time to build up your squad. I will say this game has not really gotten DLC or updates since it released. Good game in the series, but no updates knocks it a little.

Atrocious game design around save/loading to get proper stats upon character leveling with too much random and difference between this random is useless/godlike characters as a result. Tried to like it but disappointed.

One of the few games that still can give you a feeling of immersion in a fantasy storyline with survival strategy and decision making mechanics! like it quite a bit!

It is difficulty to get into this game because a lot is going on and some is confusing. But after about 10-20 hours of learning the mechanics and trying stuff out, I started to like it a lot. So, just take your time and proceed slowly.

Очередной обзор, который пишу в основном для себя. Купил игру давно и очень хотел поиграть из-за еще свежих приятных впечатлений о 1ой части, но все времени не было. И вот сейчас вроде появилось немного свободного времени, чтобы окунуться и получить предвкушаемое удовольствие от игры. Но уже поменялось мироощущение и появилась требование к тому какое должно быть "удовольствие". Быстрый ритм жизни - шортсы в ютубе, короткие рилсы в инсте - все это выжигает дофаминовые рецепторы и хочется всего и сразу, но как мы помним в жизни все и сразу можно получить только в сказке. Многое из желаемого по жизни я уже получил, но постепенно и за счет труда и затрат времени. Есть хорошие моменты в жизни, а есть те, над которыми надо задуматься для чего они нужны и надо ли что-то менять в своем пути и мышлении. Игра точно такая же хорошая по геймплею как и первая часть, все такая же вариативность действий/ событий и различные билды персонажей. Хорошая музыка. Отличный рассказ сюжета и погружение атмосферу славянской мифологии. Нет случайных событий, которые бы кардинально влияли на выбранный стратегический план в игре. Советую брать игру как по скидке, так и без скидки.
