About
In a world where mysterious plants are spreading all over the earth, emitting toxic spores as they grow, a small group of survivors seeks shelter on the back of a giant, wandering creature they call 'Onbu'.
Become their leader, build their settlement and form a symbiotic relationship with Onbu to survive together in this hostile, yet beautiful post-apocalyptic world.
A functioning village is the basis of your survival. Build your settlement and expand it over Onbu’s back. Plan production chains and optimise them to utilise the limited space as efficiently as possible. Create a society that can overcome any challenge.
Living on the back of another organism comes with its own set of challenges. Will you live in symbiosis, bond with Onbu and survive on mutual trust? Or will you become a parasite, only aiming to ensure a better life for your villagers? The choice is yours.
Continuously adapt your village as you travel through a multitude of different biomes, each with its unique climate zones, opportunities and threats. Scout your environments and send out foraging missions to gather rare resources and ancient artefacts.
Remnants of the old world hold knowledge that has long been forgotten, but can be unearthed by your villagers. Find and research these technologies, but use them wisely, as progress can be a double-edged sword.
Ensure the survival of both your villagers and your Onbu, even though poisonous spores, merciless weather, bloodsucking parasites and many more challenges mean that the odds are often stacked against you.

Reviews
Rating: 9/10 The Wandering Village is a game that I thoroughly enjoyed from the very beginning. One of its biggest strengths is how easy it is to understand. The tutorial and game mechanics are introduced naturally, allowing you to get started without feeling overwhelmed or having to spend time searching for answers. The pacing is excellent. New mechanics, buildings, and challenges are introduced at a steady rate, keeping the experience engaging without making it feel rushed or overly complicated. There is always something to work toward, but rarely does the game feel stressful. The unique concept of building a village on the back of a giant wandering creature adds a fresh twist to the city-building genre. Managing resources while maintaining the relationship with your enormous companion creates interesting decisions and gives the game a distinctive identity. The art style and atmosphere are also highlights, creating a charming and relaxing experience that makes it easy to lose track of time while playing. Pros Easy to learn and understand Excellent pacing Unique and original concept Relaxing yet engaging gameplay Charming visuals and atmosphere Steady sense of progression Cons Can become repetitive during longer sessions Some players may want more end-game content

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

lovely game :)
The Wandering Village is an absolute gem of a city-builder, pairing a gorgeous, Studio Ghibli-inspired art style with a super unique concept: building your settlement on the back of a giant, roaming creature named Onbu. The gameplay keeps you on your toes by blending classic resource management with the fun challenge of keeping your massive host healthy, all while deciding whether to live in harmony with it or exploit it to survive. Plus, the soundtrack is incredible, effortlessly setting the mood with everything from peaceful exploration tunes to tense, atmospheric tracks when dangerous weather rolls in. I absolutely enjoy it.
Great and cozy city management game. It's easy to understand, but still takes time to makes the best choices. I really like that there are usually at least two or three ways to get a resource, so you aren't forced into one playstyle. Taking care of Onbu is easy, but it still feels meaningful, same for your villagers. The early game is active and engaging, while the later game becomes less about micromanaging and more about chilling out and surviving dangerous environments. I’d definitely recommend buying this game!
A great city builder with plenty of depth and a genuinely interesting setting. You can choose the path of the giant creature your village lives on, and its movement changes the conditions and challenges your settlement has to deal with. This means the unique setting has a impact on the gameplay.

Fun!
This game is incredibly innovative and creative. It is not just a city builder, and the "wandering" part of the game is not merely a gimmick, but tightly integrated into gameplay. Interacting with your Onbu (the big creature the village is on the back of), taking care of them, and traversing and coping with varying biomes you encounter as you go are central to the game, and not like anything I've ever seen in a city builder.
I would for sure watch this if it was a Studio Ghibli film and you know that is were the devs got their inspiration not only for the artwork but the story. The story is tells of the rise and fall of humanity and their abuse of nature. it also becomes a lesson you can or cannot follow. Being "evil" gives you benefits. However, being good also gives you benefits. I like that you can choose what play style you want without being overly punished. Hurt your big dino puppy and your life is easier, Suffer a bit or take your time to find alternate methods and make your dino puppy fall in love with you. It can get a tiny bit into micromanage when you start to have 200+ villagers but sometimes that is half the fun. The changing biomes keeps you on your toes. I played this game during early access and came back to it just recently after the full release. While this may not be the game for everyone, I really enjoyed it and I look forward to future playthroughs.
