About
In a world where mysterious plants are spreading all over the earth, emitting toxic spores as they grow, a small group of survivors seeks shelter on the back of a giant, wandering creature they call 'Onbu'.
Become their leader, build their settlement and form a symbiotic relationship with Onbu to survive together in this hostile, yet beautiful post-apocalyptic world.
A functioning village is the basis of your survival. Build your settlement and expand it over Onbu’s back. Plan production chains and optimise them to utilise the limited space as efficiently as possible. Create a society that can overcome any challenge.
Living on the back of another organism comes with its own set of challenges. Will you live in symbiosis, bond with Onbu and survive on mutual trust? Or will you become a parasite, only aiming to ensure a better life for your villagers? The choice is yours.
Continuously adapt your village as you travel through a multitude of different biomes, each with its unique climate zones, opportunities and threats. Scout your environments and send out foraging missions to gather rare resources and ancient artefacts.
Remnants of the old world hold knowledge that has long been forgotten, but can be unearthed by your villagers. Find and research these technologies, but use them wisely, as progress can be a double-edged sword.
Ensure the survival of both your villagers and your Onbu, even though poisonous spores, merciless weather, bloodsucking parasites and many more challenges mean that the odds are often stacked against you.

Reviews
A solid and charming city builder ^^ The limited space and resource also force you into planning or rebuilding, and when you get everything working nice? Oh so satisfying. <3 Onbu.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The inspiration from Nausicaä is VERY clear in this no doubt about that but I mean it in the nicest of ways this game was a joy to playthrough and well worth the price IMO. Nothing to crazy or Challenging at least from the story mode and while I would have loved it to have a bit more or been a bit longer or maybe have a few more cutscenes it was overall still very fun and while it might be wishful thinking man I would love another game from these guys in either this same world or a similar style to this.
Probably the cutest game I have ever had the privilage of buying, enjoyed it thoroughly, The big walking boulder is a good smol boy.
I wanted to murder this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ musician that wanted me to torture the Onbu
I recommend it, if it's on sale. Since it's a thumbs up, here's the bad first: - The building was neat, but very linear, which hurts the replayability. Once you've figured out how to use the limited space, each playthrough will run the same. Tied in with the story that also plays the same each time, and I don't think I'll ever pick up the game again. - The story is just awful. It comes down to "People are bad and polluted the earth, which killed these majestic totally-not-Earth-Deities-Onbu!" The writing is also pretty flat, even within that frame; the grandma figure is right about everything, and the gruff grandpa figure is wrong about everything, until the grandma figure takes an objectively stupid choice and dies, which was hyped as a big deal and I could not click through fast enough. Then the Grandpa figure just does everything the Grandma figure would have wanted anyway. All the characters revere Onbu as Gaia stand-ins, and you wouldn't want to do bad things to our pagan gods, would you?! - It's shallow, overbearing, and hippy. All around terrible. - I genuinely debated letting my kids play this because of the Earth worship pagan stuff, but figured the writing was so bad it would actually push them away from it. Ok, now for the good: - I find the idea of mobile base building neat. You make choices on which path to take, and you have to deal with Onbu not playing ball if you let trust drop, which could cause you to remain in unfavorable biomes or minor disasters. - The city building is indeed cozy. All the stakes are pretty low, I wondered at one point if it was possible for a colony to actually fail, but wasn't that invested to try. If food runs low, your people start rationing, if people's needs aren't met, they don't die, but rather two or three will just leave after a day or two. Low stakes, and cozy. - I enjoyed growing the village as big as I could within the limited space (over a single run). It was a challenge of efficiency, which is cool. Overall, it was fun, if shallow, I'd suggest getting it on sale.
