I love this game, but I somehow forgot to leave a review of it. This game is an excellent squad tactics game that models moral, suppression, terrain, line of sight, armor penetration and other realistic aspects of war. I read a LOT of military history. I pretty much always have an audio book going during chores and at bedtime. And I was able to put a lot of what I read to work while playing this game. It's very important when playing as the allies (I only play as the allies) to remember that German tanks have thick frontal armor and better main guns than American tanks for most of the war. You have to use infantry for spotting, and keep your tanks hidden. Try not to move your units in the open unless you suppress enemy spotting units first.
Love this game ! Learning curve is quite steep, IA is fierce (but makes welcomed mistakes too) and you will (sometimes) cry blood tears because that damn Panzer deflected a crucial precise shot that would end the game... But yes, you will love overcoming the challenge, critically hitting a low percentage shot and driving those damn germans out of Normandy. Not perfect by any mean, but great game, with lot of content, lot of pressure and lot of fun to be had. The closest I found to the old Close combat serie. Small amount of units and every single one matter. Edit : Oh, and there is a demo, so go for it !
