Enjoyable puzzles and some very interesting philosophical and historical discussions. I'd recommend picking this up if it's on sale
They never learn, sad.
This masterpiece is in the hall of fame for puzzle games dare I say right next to Portal 2. If you're looking for a pure puzzle game experience then look no further. It's difficult but oh so rewarding after finally figuring out a solution to a puzzle that took you a half an hour. Accompanying the gameplay is its quite complex and rich story that will have you scrathing your head questioning your entire existence. TLDR: a must buy for any puzzle game enthusiast.
Similar to Portal 2 in some ways, very easy to spend time playing. Great if you just like stress-free puzzles, and solo-gaming.
The Talos Principle is one of the best puzzle games because its puzzles are smart, clean, and incredibly satisfying to crack. The tools are easy to understand at first, but the game keeps finding new ways to combine them until you’re solving problems that feel genuinely clever without feeling cheap or random. The ancient ruins, strange machines, quiet landscapes, and philosophical terminals give the whole game a lonely, mysterious feeling that sticks with you. It asks big questions about consciousness, free will, faith, and what makes someone “real,” but it never feels tacked on. The puzzles and the story work together, making the game feel thoughtful, memorable, and way deeper than a simple brainteaser as it gradually reveals its depths to you. Like eating a dessert that gets sweeter with every bite.
Life changing. 100/10 No more words needed.
One of the best puzzle games out there
