This game is awesome, extremely well-polished and the fact that it only has 23 reviews at the time of this writing (well after launch) is the reason devs don't want to make VR games for PCVR. There are so many good PCVR games out there that nobody buys and this is one of them. If Beat Saber can manage 61k reviews and Half-Life: Alyx can manage 67k reviews and Boneworks can manage 31k reviews then games like this should be able to manage at least a few hundred reviews. It's ridiculous. As for the game, it's an action/puzzle game. You'll be shooting kenzoku and dodging their bullets while solving puzzles with the help of Haru who's chained to a rock. Many puzzles have a sequencing or timing element to them so you have to juggle various things at once making the puzzles a lot more interesting than your typical "put box on switch" (although you still do have to put boxes on switches sometimes). Haru is great. She loves to talk and it really helps build the world and her character since she's the only person you see aside from a few glimpses of the antagonist. Overall, a wonderful and polished game from seasoned VR devs that you'll probably never play because people don't buy PCVR games.
Good puzzle game with some FPS elements. Quest Graphics Good use of VR controls Beat the 1st boss, decent challenge dodging, helping your companion and collecting orbs to shoot back.
Most games that were made to be played on oculus tend to not work great with the valve index but in this case it's a amazing port fun puzzles ok story
Highly recommended, the waifu on duty takes you through different mystical places while you solve puzzles and dodge enemies 10 hours of gameplay, totally worth it for a vr title
The waifu that accompanies you is annoying beyond redemption. This combined with that she basically dictates the (extremely slow) phasing of the game makes this unplayable :(
The Tale of Onogoro takes place in a beautiful looking anime word. The game is an action adventure game with a unique puzzles system. The game world also has a steampunk look and feel to it. You are summoned to a parallel world by Haru. This is where the game gets interesting. The story starts off good, drawing you into to it and what's going on. You find out the world depends on you and Haru saving it. Now this is the interesting part. Haru is a young powerful girl, who has been trapped to a large stone, withholding here powers. You have to lift and guide Haru on here stone around the world. You will be doing this in the heat of battle and will need her to solve puzzles to move on. You will also make use of 3 different element stones to solve puzzles and fight enemies. Which brings us to the combat. The combat feels really good and easy to fight and dodge enemies attacks. You will go from fighting small minions to giant bosses. Your health is tied into Haru's health, so you will have to keep the two of you safe. You also have a cool healing system, where the two of you will join hands to heal. This is one of the better anime VR worlds I have been in. The art style is great and immerses you into the world. The game play feels great, and could only be pulled of with motion controls. This is a game that was built for VR. Everything felt really good, and had me rapid in its world. Fighting the giant boss was great. It reminded me of fighting bosses from 90s video games. If you are a fan of anime, good story, action and adventure with puzzles thrown into the mix, this is a must have VR title for your library. This is some VR gaming you don't want to miss.

Experienced on the Meta Quest 3
You can view my full review here: https://youtu.be/TNLLTRGke7A Solid game overall. However, the pacing is quite slow. The puzzles seem tougher in execution rather than in actually solving them. If you mess up along the way, the boss fights can feel like a marathon. The story further slows down the pace with the heavy exposition. However, there are good production values here. The puzzles are good overall, although towards the latter-half of the game they did start to feel strenuous for me. It doesn't help that you repeat all the boss fights along the way one after another near the end, except with added steps to the fight. Game is running on the Unity Engine. On my RTX 5090, I was getting a steady 90 fps. I did not experience any major issues or bugs. However, the physics were at times inconsistent, especially when having to move objects. You do have full locomotion & teleportation available, along with smooth and snap turning. You can play comfortably seated and there are comfort options.
