Same as first Moss. I can't give a positive review to a game that costs half the price of a AAA game and only lasts 4 hours... And that's for a modern AAA game, not the day Moss was released. That's a joke, not funny. The game itself is... enjoyable. That's probably the best way to describe it. Safe, enjoyable, but practically without any challenge. Just mouse-running in a fun way. The fact that this game is released for VR, frankly, doesn't add much to the game itself. You can move your head, but it doesn't change anything. The price and length of a typical VR game, and the fact that it was released for VR, doesn't add much. The combination of 1 and 2 Moss might be worth buying at full price of one of them. Maybe. Of course at the day of the release. Not now.
If you enjoyed the first one, this is more of the same but with a welcome addition of some new weapons and mechanics for puzzles. Very well done. Everything is great about the game. If I'm reaching I can only think of 2 minor complaints: 1. The controls take a little getting used to with moving Quill around (again I'm reaching). 2. Overall the control hints when learner a new ability or getting a new weapon could have been a little clearer. It takes a bit of experimentation to understand how to use some of the new abilities correctly. In one instance I got a new weapon and the only hint was for me to press and hold a button. I was pressing and holding said button but nothing different was happening. I had to change weapons and change back to the new weapon I got and then it worked as intended. Again very small bug nothing game breaking at all. The game is also short clocking in at around 5-6 hours so the price may or may not be worth it depending on your situation. That being said, you're getting quality visuals, cute story, good VA/narration and cute/fun game play. Solid 3rd person VR game!

Moss II VR is a remarkable virtual reality adventure that successfully expands on the foundation established by its predecessor, delivering a richer story, more refined gameplay, and a stronger emotional connection between player and protagonist. Developed and published by Polyarc, the game once again follows the brave mouse Quill as she embarks on a perilous quest after obtaining a powerful magical artifact that has drawn the attention of dangerous enemies. The narrative presents a classic fantasy journey centered on courage, friendship, and sacrifice, but its heartfelt presentation gives the adventure a memorable identity. Instead of simply telling a story, the game invites players to become an active participant in Quill's journey, creating a partnership that feels surprisingly genuine throughout the campaign. One of the game's greatest strengths is how naturally it combines traditional action-adventure gameplay with immersive VR interaction. Players guide Quill through intricately designed environments while simultaneously using their own hands to manipulate the world around her. Obstacles can be moved, ancient mechanisms activated, and environmental hazards removed, making the player feel like a helpful companion rather than an invisible observer. Combat has also received meaningful improvements, introducing more varied enemy encounters and additional tactical options that make each battle more engaging. The gradual introduction of new mechanics ensures the experience remains fresh without becoming overwhelming, maintaining a satisfying balance between accessibility and challenge. The environmental puzzles are carefully designed to take advantage of virtual reality without relying on gimmicks. Progress often requires players to physically examine their surroundings, view areas from different perspectives, and coordinate actions between themselves and Quill. Many puzzles blend platforming, timing, and environmental interaction in creative ways, rewarding observation and experimentation instead of simple trial and error. This constant collaboration between player and character reinforces the unique relationship that defines the series while making every solved challenge feel rewarding. Exploration plays an equally important role throughout the adventure. Players travel across beautifully crafted castles, mysterious ruins, hidden caverns, enchanted forests, and forgotten temples, each filled with secrets waiting to be uncovered. Every location is richly detailed, encouraging curiosity beyond the main path. Hidden collectibles, optional discoveries, and environmental storytelling reward players who take the time to carefully examine every corner of the world. The miniature scale of the environments, viewed through virtual reality, creates the feeling of peering into a living storybook where every area has been lovingly handcrafted. Visually, Moss II VR is stunning without relying on photorealistic graphics. Its stylized art direction gives every environment warmth and personality, while expressive character animations bring Quill to life despite her limited dialogue. The lighting, environmental effects, and carefully designed scenery create a magical atmosphere that remains consistently impressive from beginning to end. Animation quality is exceptional, allowing Quill's emotions to be communicated through subtle gestures and facial expressions that strengthen the player's emotional investment in her journey. The sound design complements the visual presentation beautifully. A sweeping orchestral soundtrack enhances moments of wonder, danger, and triumph, while environmental audio creates an immersive sense of place. The narrator guides the story with the tone of a classic fairy tale, helping establish the game's storybook presentation. Combined with Quill's expressive sounds and the excellent ambient effects, the audio creates an experience that feels both intimate and cinematic. Perhaps the game's greatest achievement is its understanding of what makes virtual reality meaningful. Rather than treating VR as a simple visual upgrade, Moss II VR uses the technology to deepen interaction and emotional engagement. Reaching into the world to assist Quill, solving puzzles through physical movement, and observing the adventure from unique perspectives all reinforce the feeling that the player is truly sharing this journey alongside the tiny heroine. The controls remain intuitive and comfortable, allowing players to stay immersed without unnecessary complexity. Although the adventure is not exceptionally long, its excellent pacing ensures that every chapter introduces new environments, mechanics, enemies, or narrative developments. The campaign rarely feels repetitive, and the steady progression keeps the experience engaging until its satisfying conclusion. Fans of the original will appreciate the meaningful improvements, while newcomers will find an accessible fantasy adventure that demonstrates just how effective narrative-driven VR gaming can be. Moss II VR is an exceptional sequel that refines nearly every aspect of the original while preserving its charm and emotional heart. Its memorable partnership between player and Quill, imaginative world design, polished gameplay systems, inventive puzzles, and beautiful presentation combine to create one of the finest story-driven virtual reality experiences available. Polyarc has crafted an adventure that feels magical from beginning to end, proving that compelling characters and thoughtful design remain the foundation of truly unforgettable games. Rating: 9/10
A magical experience, if you have access to a VR set, I would consider this a must!!
A wonderfully told story with rewarding puzzles and fun combat mechanics. If you enjoy an original, moving story delivered expertly alongside a charming soundtrack and interesting gameplay. This is for you. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of both Moss Book I & II. It's a more relaxing experience than the FPS games I usually play. The diorama platformer is a style that works well in VR. The backdrops are jaw dropping and the whole package is curated perfectly to make you feel connected to the story and the characters. I was wiping tears from my lenses! Other developers should take note. The story is much more important to the experience than the number of strands of hair or realism of a shadow's projection!! Well done Polyarc!
