Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

The best way I can describe The Suicide of Rachel Foster is as if you took the mysterious, revelation-driven narrative of What Remains of Edith Finch, mixed it with some elements of Firewatch, and put everything inside an isolated hotel. The similarities with Firewatch are particularly noticeable in the way you interact with the environment, the tools you use, the conversations you have with a stranger over the phone, and even the way the game suddenly cuts to black at the end of a day before throwing you into another part of the hotel. And speaking of the hotel, the atmosphere is peak. The audio design in this game is genuinely fantastic. Outlast and Hunt: Showdown are probably my personal standards for excellent audio design, and I think Rachel Foster deserves to be mentioned alongside them. This isn't really a horror game in the traditional sense. There aren't constant jumpscares or enemies chasing you around. Instead, it's psychological horror. It's the kind of game that constantly makes you feel like something is wrong. You're walking through an empty hotel, hearing noises you can't quite explain, and you're always slightly on edge. Visually, the game also holds up really well. The hotel is beautifully designed and filled with little details that make the place feel like an actual location rather than just a videogame level. Credit where it's due: the developers absolutely nailed the environment. I went into this game completely blind, which I think was the best way to experience it. Pretty much everything came as a surprise. The beginning is honestly quite slow, and for a while I was wondering if I was even going to enjoy the game. But once Nicole starts digging deeper into what happened to Rachel, the hook finally gets you, and from that point onwards, I just wanted to know more. Then you reach that revelation... I'm not going to spoil it here, but this seems to be the point where opinions about the entire game become extremely divided. From what I've seen, there are basically two reactions: people who absolutely despise the game because of that revelation, and people who accept the shock value and see what it adds to the story. I'm definitely closer to the second group. Not because I think what happens is morally acceptable, quite the opposite. One of the things I think people miss about the story is that there really aren't any heroes in this universe. Pretty much every major character is deeply flawed, and some of their actions are genuinely vile. But I think the game is deliberately trying to show us why these characters justify their own actions from their perspective, and as the player, we're placed outside of that mindset, which allows us to look at the situation and think: "What the ♥♥♥♥ is wrong with these people?" And honestly, I think that's the point. If the game makes you uncomfortable, disgusts you, or makes you question the morality of what you're seeing, that's not necessarily a failure of the writing, It's the opposite. Good art doesn't necessarily have to make you feel good, It has to make you feel something. Midsommar (the movie) gave me a very similar feeling. I wouldn't describe the emotions it gave me as pleasant, but that's precisely why I remember it. And The Suicide of Rachel Foster managed to do something similar for me, It's uncomfortable, disturbing and sometimes genuinely messed up, but I think that's part of what makes the story memorable. If you're into walking simulators, psychological horror, mystery, twists and revelation-driven stories, I strongly recommend giving this one a shot 8/10

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 21: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 264.17/day in the week to Jul 17 → 0.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Just wanna say thanks for this game to the developers. The game had a thoughtfull story line that was worthe the hours of play through. Make sure to turn of all the lights making yourself cozy and have somone around to play it together with. We loved it. Good job.
worst guidance ever. most of the time i'm just trying to find the right place to trigger the story. and i couldn't run. she walks slow like a snail. also many bugs. waste of time. might as well just to watch youtubers play
Gra jest szczerze jedną z najlepszych gierek psychologicznych w jakie grałem. Fabuła, klimat, lekka klaustrofobia, odgłosy, a nawet grafika zachwycają.
