The Stranger VR

Bei "The Stranger VR" handelt es sich um einen "Old School Shooter" eines ambitionierten 3-Mann-Teams welches mit Herzblut dabei ist. Ein wenig erinnert mich das Spiel vom Stil und vom Soundtrack her an das alte "Unreal 1"... Wir schlüpfen in die Haut eines "Wanderers". Wir durchstreifen eine Welt, welche vor über 3000 Jahren im großen "Rift War" zerstört wurde. Damals sind feindliche Maschinen aus einem Paralleluniversum auf die Welt hereingebrochen. Die einzigen Überlebenden haben sich in den Untergrund zurückgezogen. Wir gehören zu den Auserwählten, welche die zerstörte Welt betreten können und versuchen sie zurück zu erobern. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2261599206 Anfangs sind wir mit nur zwei Waffen ausgerüstet, können diese aber an Stationen aufrüsten oder auch komplett neue kaufen. Diese Stationen sind zahlreich, meistens an Checkpoints/Wegpunkten zu finden. Alle unsere Energiewaffen haben unendliche Munition. Granaten und Raketen für die Flak Cannon und den Raketenwerfer müßen gekauft werden. Bezahlen tun wir mit Rift-Energie, welche wir durch das töten von Feinden bekommen. Des Weiteren haben wir noch an unserem linken Handgelenk eine Klinge, welche wir für den Nahkampf verwenden können. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2260662737 Grafisch ist "The Stranger VR" zwar kein Meilenstein, punktet dafür aber mit einem tollen Design. Hier bestaunen wir in den Himmel ragende futuristische Wolkenkratzer, riesige antike Statuen oder auch seltsame Science Fiction Gebilde. Alles sieht sehr atmosphärisch aus und saugt uns direkt in diese fantastische Welt. Die Waffen sehen sehr detailliert aus, und verändern ihr aussehen mit jedem Upgrade. Auch die Gegner sehen zum Teil echt originell aus. Der Soundtrack ist toll gelungen, und mein persönliches Highlight. Sehr abwechslungsreich und atmosphärisch. Leider ist die KI im Moment aber noch strunzdumm, und läuft einfach "Serious Sam"-mässig auf uns zu. Der Entwickler arbeitet aber zur Zeit an einer neuen KI, welche schlauer agieren soll und dann auch hinter Gegenständen Schutz suchen kann. Auch das Balancing ist noch etwas durchwachsen, soll aber auch überarbeitet werden. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2261599920 Ich habe für das durchspielen etwa 6 Stunden gebraucht und hatte durchgehend eine Menge Spaß. Die 8 Euro ist das Spiel allemal wert. Also eine Empfehlung für alle Shooter Fans, welche hier keinen Triple A Titel sondern eine kleine Indie Perle erwarten.

Good catch. Waiting for this for a time but just couldnt wait while it was 9 bucks. Thought it will be 20 or 30. Great enjoyment for its price. Apart from other VR titles, this definitely stands out with its graphics and super easy controls. For once, I really liked to just go all the way with my weapons without thinking about where to go, where to get ammo etc. I just go straight into mindless action which I really loved.

Opened the game as soon as I purchased it just to see the graphics and couldn't stop playing it. So easy and approachable gameplay. I see that hardcore gamers want more but for me it's an incredible casual shooter with awesome graphics. And kudos to devs who respond so quick.

A very simple shooting game despite the (sometimes) beautiful environments. - enemy models look simple and they all look and behave the same, like seeing clones, they run the same, they dodge the same while having very simple and repetitive attack patterns - the lasers/rockets of the weapons only appear when far away from the gun - infinite ammo without the need to even reload feels wrong, you just press the trigger all the time and then point to the enemies - some textures are blurry, even on Epic. - snap-turn is wrong because you can rotate only clockwise (using the Y key) ?? I can't recommend this game.

Fun, fast and cheap. It's like entering Clone Wars in a casual style with your sport outfit and a Nike blaster. Loved it though:D

What a load of garbage . DO NOT! buy this game . There is nothing interesting about it the graphics are beyond crap and the game play is even worse . The enemies run towards you like they are in sync with one another . I will never get back the 30 minutes of my life that i spent playing this crap . Its beyond horrible . Its as bad as DAYZ !!

Would be beyond impressive if there was multiplayer. Fun, cheap and addictive shooter. Not much not less, highly recommended for fast action similar to Serious Sam.

This game is going to give you a very good relaxing FPS experience like seeking dawn, alyx...etc. definitely worth the price.

El juego te mete de lleno en un mundo distópico y bastante inmersivo, hay que resaltar que el movimiento libre no marea en absoluto, una pena que los pequeños fallos que a lo largo del juego tenemos, lastre el resultado final. Veo que los desarrolladores recogen el feedback y anuncian actualizaciones eso es lo mejor
