Hail to the Rainbow

The demo to this game is actually what sold it to me. I wasn't a huge fan of the gameplay trailers or the screenshots, which left me with the impression that this was a sort shooter with horror elements. That's not really what this is. The game is slow, plodding, and thoughtful; more like a walking simulator with exploration, puzzles, survival elements, and a bit of combat. The atmosphere is like a combination of Half-Life, Terminator, Metro, and, of course, Atomic Heart, but instead of playing some badass soldier, you're a boy genius with rather minimal cybernetic augmentation, albeit you are surprisingly durable for the sake of gameplay balance. The game has some fairly minimal "indie jank". Some of the puzzles are obtuse, and I needed a guide on a few occasions. Combat is awkward, though this is likely intentional since you're not a soldier or even an full grown adult. However, the story and music are good, and the world building is excellent. I really thought the inclusion of the enigmatic sonic weapon towers was a nice touch, too. Hail to the Rainbow is more than worth the price.

Hail To The Rainbow could have been a great game without this pesky AI-slop. What a shame. 'cause besides that, the game's good! I mean the story is nothing to write home about but the overall game shines in a few places! All of the interaction phases are really refreshing! 'havin' to turn the screws, shake your mouse the right way to remove a plank etc. That's good stuff! We need more immersive actions like this. -same thing for the whole driving experience which reminded me of the one DayZ Standalone has- The save system is also truly great, it makes me happy to see that in 2025-26 we can still make great saving systems. I also need to add that I really enjoyed seeing Lake Sevan’s Writers Resort and the Cascade Complex being present in the game, which are both very famous Armenian buildings. But I'm sorry, I cannot recommend a game that uses f ucking AI 'specially for lore building. Like why not using only Soviet-made posters? 'cause there are enough of those for the full game, trust me. Seeing a reenactment of the great game "Inside" with AI slop as illustrations during the sphere scene, made me really angry. It's so ironic regarding the message the game tries to convey. If you claim that machines ARE bad (which they are, don't get me wrong) then don't use 'em! Follow your values the whole way through. I cannot recommend this game, it's against my morals. (Now you could say that I did buy the game and therefore contributed to it, and to that, I'd say: you're right I haven't been careful enough, it's on me). That's why I wanna warn y'all. I'll change my review if actual artists and VAs were to be paid to replace all of this AI-slop. P.S.: The robot is too self-aware (way too many references to video games), it breaks the immersion in my opinion.

Очень душевная игра со своей атмосферой, есть о чём задуматься. Как +/- ровесник Сергея Носкова, замечал много отсылок на советские произведения - забавно. История Игната, история его семьи, трогательные. Однозначно игра стоит того, чтобы её приобрести и пройти.

Игра классная, дарит зимний вайб. Оставлю на зиму.

Самый сильный проект автора на данный момент и одна из лучших игр что я прошел в этом году я бы сказал почти самая лучшая но была еще the invincible а так очень годный и атмосферный проект особенно в своём жанре оптимизация очень хороша если у вас не сильное железо но есть хотя бы 16 гб оперативки и видеокарта 10х серий инвидия то уже спокойно на fullHD высоких настройках сможете пройти главное не включайте фср он просто так съест фпс
