Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Same day: best BR #84, worst PL #86 · 2 markets collected
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Habe es extreeeem geliebt und freue mich riesig auf den zweiten Teil! Super Game! <3
I won't delve into what other players have already described: Clunky combat, impressive detective system, etc. Instead, I want to praise what The Sinking City has achieved: a dual Rorschach test. The game drops you off into the apocalypse where you play as the judge for yourself. As many have stated, there are no significant decisions by the player; this character will always die and this character would always betray you. But because of this, it makes worthless decisions in game become more meaningful to the player. You are making a decision that reflects the character or yourself -which brings me back to my comparison to a dual Rorschach test. The Sinking City shows a player two choices, regardless of the choice, the game gives the player the same reward then moves on to the next set. The quest "Quid Pro Quo" is fantastically written and the best example of this, the player is given two decisions, both poor, but you must pick one. As a player you'd either pick one based on the Trolley problem, or following a more morality context. The effect of the decision is more-so personal and shapes how the player would proceed further into the game either by decisions or fully detaching themselves from the game. The game does not shy away -in fact it embraces- Lovecraft's mythology that I would even call the game a treat for Lovecraftian fans. That being said, it is a very niche game at which players that enjoys a smoother experience would find this game disappointing, and players that are seeking an immersive Lovecraftian experience would enjoy it.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 19: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Oooooo Chryste jakie to jest nudne Q.Q
Ok, when playing on my PC the remastered version (I think I originally played it on a laptop), the game crashes every five or fewer minutes. I tried playing the original version but why offer the remastered version if it keeps crashing?
A solid 7/10 with good detective mechanics. A definite joy if you get it on sale. Not very scary but a fun ride regardless
It's a simple and a bit crude detective game based on works of H.P. Lovecraft. Loved the idea of a half-flooded city, the atmosphere of cosmic horrors from the abyss and the story, although we can all probably guess the ending. The gameplay is very repetitive and primitive. Arrive at location, collect notes, go to archive, find a new address, talk to someone. That's it, rinse and repeat 50 times. Lots of backtracking and investigating copy-pasted apartments. Combat is even worse, it's clunky and unnecessary. But the weakest element has got to be the underwater sections with gazers damaging your diving-suit-clad ass. Probably the only game where I skipped the majority of side quests, because it's just more of the same. The remaster looks nice, although no one spent a second on optimization and it runs like crap.
more open world lovecraft but not too open world, plot is interesting, my only gripe is the janky af combat system
