i liked how you could have a job and have friends and pets, the downside of pets is that sometimes they get lonely and your sim might overrule your command to care for them and pet hem and then the social worker takes them away and you have to wait to get them back

So I used to have this on the ol' CD-ROM and spent quite a bit of time with it. It's alright as a life sim - but I just can't overlook the DLC pricing issue. The game is $20 and so are each of its DLCs. To buy Sims 3, with all of its bells and whistles, would be $400. In 2026! For perspective, I can get Silksong for the same price as one Sims content pack. That is insane and unforgivable.

i saved my game and when i open it nothing was saved.

As much as I loved this game growing up, I can no longer recommend it due to the fact it will no longer play. I keep getting a fatal error message and to restart the game. I verified the files and says the same thing.

Right first of all. The Game has really bad performance issues. It costs too much for how old it is and that its not supported to run on modern Hardware. Other than that, the game is great. There are mods that can help with the performance. And Other mods you can download of websites that make the game great. The Game itself with dlcs is great (some dlcs are broken and never buy). I believe this game is 100% better than The Sims 4 ever will be. The sims actually have a lot of personality and there is so much to do.
