About
Renowned artist Theobald Breitsam is found dead in his workshop, surrounded by occult symbols and hundreds of black feathers. His body is covered in wounds - but they were made by no blade. They were inflicted by something that should not be possible.
The city council already has a suspect accused of witchcraft and is pressing for a swift verdict before panic spreads.
Conrad is the town's executioner. His duty is to carry out sentences - not to question them.
But something is terribly wrong.
Is it witchcraft? Superstition? Or is there a truth behind these events that defies every rational explanation?
The deeper Conrad digs, the less human this case becomes.
As the town's executioner, Conrad belongs to the so-called "dishonourables" - people forced to live on the fringes of society. Feared. Shunned. Yet indispensable.
Precisely because of this, doors open to him that remain closed to everyone else. He speaks with beggars and patricians, prisoners and priests. He moves between taverns, prison cells and council chambers, following a trail of contradictions and carefully concealed secrets.
Executioner Conrad knows the darkest sides of human nature. But this time, he is facing something darker still.
Someone - or something - is watching him.

If you miss classic Point & Click games, this one will fill that gap. A very well-crafted game with a complicated investigation. You play as the town's executioner; his name is Conrad, and he is a kind-hearted man who expects a child from his heavily pregnant wife. He is also the healer of the town, a trade he quite enjoys compared to being a heartless executioner, a job passed down to him by his father and grandfather. He was having recurrent nightmares about a woman he recently executed and feeling bad about it. That very morning, Conrad was being called by the city guard to investigate a murder, a foul play by witches, as the witch hunter claimed. You'll imprison the suspect, threaten them, and perhaps torture them to learn the truth and who is behind the murder. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3775020010 There are three chapters and a cutscene epilogue; the game is well balanced between walking around and picking up items as needed to complete specific tasks. You can combine items in your inventory and use them by dragging them and dropping them. There are also a couple of side missions and people to speak with, as well as your wife to check on during your journey. While the game was not voiced, the dialogue didn't feel boring; the characters were interesting, and the mystery kept me on edge, wondering who is following us and who the real culprit is. Like all P&C games, you can speak to characters and have a list of topics to execute. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3775019979 I loved the background and artwork in each area; the characters' design is good, fitting the era they are set in. I also enjoyed the soundtrack and the ability to interact with the environment and read his thoughts about everything. The journal was very useful, reading the executioner's thoughts and what he is up to next, and whatever you are done with, he is going to cross it off. The fast-travel map was useful, but I liked to roam around and see where the characters we met had been relocated; speaking to them would initiate a side mission or a new dialogue. The town is big, and most of the game you are roaming inside of it, with a couple of locations outside. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3775058083 Pros: +Interesting murder mystery story. +Good character pixel design. +Fitting soundtracks. +Good animation. +Manual + Automatic save files. +Good journal to keep track of the story. +Fast traveling map. +Steam achievements. Cons: -Short -No voice-overs. The ending of the game was fitting, although I wanted to see the reaction of some of the characters. But all in all, it is a very good short point-and-click game. Executioner - do your work! You play as Conrad the executioner (and inofficial healer) of the town. A famous artist is found dead, result of what looks like a satanic ritual gone wrong. But as often, things are not all as they seem. It will be your task to find out what really happened. Silver Crow is a standard P&C pixel adventure in every regard. You have many dialogue, inventory to solve puzzles and can find all kind of places to go through. The graphics are nice, the puzzles logical and the story as well as the characters are good enough to keep you playing. If you want all achievements you also have to do some extra legwork. Cons are maybe the quite short duration (not even two hours for me) and the fact that there is nothing too surprising/unique in any way. Conclusio: a recommendation to every Point & Click fan /pixel graphics fan, who needs the quick murder solving snack in between. Rating: 7/10
Love RPG? Make sure to Follow my Curator Page
A short detective story with a touch of the paranormal. The story itself is straightforward, with no plot twists, and is cruel in places. The puzzles aren’t difficult, you’ll figure them out on your own, and there aren’t many of them. I wish there were more of them. Unlocking all the achievements will be a much greater challenge. The game left me with mixed feelings. ✔️7/10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgE85lfJGPU
And don't forget to Subscribe to my Youtube

Join my Steam Group
We are Conrad, executioner and at the same time, healer of the town, is confronted with a murder case one day. The town's inquisitor asks for his advice, when examining the corpse, found in a hexagram, allegedly picked to death by crows. Witchcraft? A rich merchant, whose hobby is alchemy looks like the culprit - but Conrad is not so easily convinced and gives the merchant a chance. He quenstions him and finds out, there is something totally different behind the death of the artist... A wonderfully written story with witty dialogs and nice characters, a twist and the not too hard but very entertaining challenge to investigate. Some have criticized minimal AI support in the making of the game. But, the dev himself explained, what part (backgronds, small objects in the backgrounds), were made with AI assistance. The soul of the game, that is the story, the dialogs, the characters, gameplay - all of that was created by himself. So, I think, this minimal AI support is no argument against the quality of this game. I loved it, highly recommend it !
I played the demo before the game came out and really liked it, but I think the puzzles are a little too easy and the dialog was a bit too quipy for a serious game. Ended up refunding it for the AI use though. Sick of seeing people making excuses for it when it is actively destroying the planet.
Was für ein tolles Spiel. Vielen lieben Dank!
Quite short, but very fun! Healthy level of logic/challenge without getting frustrating. Loved the music too
short and sweet
Why don't we get more of these excellent games? I finished it in 3 hours, but I loved every minute of it. The storyline is interesting, and of course I would have liked the story to go on longer, but short and effective beats long and boring. Well done to the team!
