We are all but humble forklifts making our way through this troubling world. This is not a game. It's a work of art.

Forklift Load looks like one of those silly simulation games, but in fact, it isn't. As the main character - a self-driving forklift - you traverse an open world, help other AI vehicles and collect notes that may solve the mystery of the seemingly absent humanity. Aside from doing what every forklift does, you can also jump, and that's it. Forklift Load is basically a puzzle game that requires a lot of precision and a bit of thinking and patience. Due to the game's themes and melancholic music, it surprisingly reminds me the most of... Nier: Automata. Of course, it has some technical problems (performance, physics), but not even half as many and not as bad as I would expect of a super cheap 3d indie game. [spoiler]Objectively:[/spoiler] 8/10

This is an odd, charming little game that you can complete in a couple of hours and is surprisingly pretty. There isnt an option to tilt your forks back but that's a fair exchange for the ability to jump!

Forklift load is a humorous open world adventure where you drive around a forklift and move things from place to place. As is typical of a Kimidori game, it features finnicky controls and janky physics, and has plenty of tough yet ultimately surmountable challenges. It rides a fine line between bad and so-bad-it's-good, and for me it ultimately falls on the side of just bad. The world is too large and the forklift is too unwieldy and slow-moving. The translated writing is too poor to enjoy, and I can't tell whether that's the fault of the writing or the translation, The ending was a little funny but not enough to explain or redeem the experience. Whoever created the gameplay trailer is a master of their craft because they zeroed in on the most interesting-looking parts of the game to show off: it does NOT get any better than that.
