The game is good.
There's a Hills Street Blues vibe to this game, and you have a lot to do. I will not spoil anything for new players, but get ready to run Code 3. Shootouts, gang fights, high speed chases, foot chases, bomb threats, even simple crimes are there (parking violations, littering etc. You do work with a partner who will help you (well kind of gets in the way because AI pathing LOL). The snarky (and cheesy) beat cop attitudes and jokes are pretty funny. The camera is 3rd person iso which is not top down viewing. Your camera flies above at a slight downward angle that adds perspective (think 3rd person in GTA5 when driving). As I recall there's no 1st POV which makes it more challenging. Nearly every object on the roads are break away that can cause real damage to your cruiser. Smash into a concrete wall, you'll see the damage. I once had to transport a perp in the back with out doors. LOL You run on a shift, and each shift changes with different things you have to achieve, and you earn your way up. You also have flight training so you can "get to da choppa" and throw your spotlight on the suspect or aid in a police chase. Keep in mind there is a timer to get to a scene so watch out for that. You can request backup with spikes and roadblocks. My favorite part of driving is you can do "J" turns smoothly (well unless you over do it and hit something. Ask me how I know?) I beat the core game a long while back. Which then it's sandbox time. There are a lot of rinse and repeat things, but it's still a blast. I recommend you pick up The Precinct. SkittleKIcksPlays
