About
What is Responding?
Responding is an upcoming open-world Emergency Services simulator sandbox that offers a realistic and in-depth Police, Fire, and EMS experience that is set in a fictional version of New York State.
In the world of Responding, you, as the player, have complete freedom to engage in pursuits, traffic stops, shootouts, 4th alarm box fires, and much more. Work together with friends or intelligent AI to keep the city and upstate suburbs safe and peaceful.
Features
Scene management plays a big role with any incident, and it's not just up to you to manage the scene, AI will take on any roles to resolve the situation, keep the scene safe or to collect evidence and witnesses statements.
Besides regular traffic stops and wellness checks Responding offers unprecedented action within emergency services simulators, with mechanics seen in your favourite tactical shooters such as tactical reloads, holding your breath, ammo management and much more.
We like customization and we know you do, we desire to bring this to various aspects of Responding, beginning with the vehicles. From the equipment you store in your trunks to the placement of antennas on the roof. And it doesn't stop there!
Seamlessly pull over any vehicle that you've seen breaking the law, or even when none is broken at all. Question the driver for his behavior and decide if the driver deserves a ticket, warning or a pass, but do not be surprised if the vehicle or the driver suddenly attempt to evade you and the law.
Bringing the most in depth and realistic emergency lighting system, with customization that allows you to create unique lighting patterns by setting the on and off time for each lighting module. And it doesn't stop there, create 3 presets to switch between in real-time and set the desired text to display on your message board!
Become part of our active community on discord, this is the place to discuss the future of Responding and to voice your opinion on the desires for the ultimate emergency simulator!

DO NOT BUY --- This game is in no way shape or form ready to be sold at what they're charging, the calls only spawn once and there are only 3 calltypes, pulling people over is broken, so is the investigative side of the game, on the domestic calltype, there isnt much you can do at all, you have to return all the way to your car and hope you remember their names, and you cant find out what happened or who to arrest, and if you do arrest someone it just glitches out
I pay $30 for early access while the devs were saying they were going to stay committed to updating the game and then now we are going on nearly 2 months without an update, what a scam.
this game absolutely sucks it ASS bro, the ems wont stop following you , called 1 ems they brought 4 and couldent leave me alone, left the game and now im writing this 0/10 this game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks
Another Open World Sandbox game with lots of potential but AGAIN, just undercooked. It could be fun... but where the game is right now, you're basically acting as a play tester... and you're paying for it. $24.99 is just asking WAY too much... this game is in Alpha IMO. With that being said, I love the idea. It's got nice graphics and the city they created is awesome. It's got a good base, I honestly believe this could be a great game in the future. Right now it's loaded with bugs that just take too much away form the experience. The controls are janky and the AI is FAR away from being acceptable. Check some of it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ilXXiE6xQOI I really hope this game keeps getting updating because there needs to finally be a proper Police Sim. Even though I really want to support the developer and this project... I'm going to have to thumbs down and refund. I will keep it on the Wishlist and Follow and look out for MAJOR updates.
dont buy it right now poor graphic lots of frame drops id wait for a bit for the dev or devs to fix optimization
So the game has some HUGE potential. but they have a hell of a lot of work to do before it (yes i only played 20 minutes.. 1. there are way to many bugs, please fix them. 2. So Tutorial whatsoever.. figure it out. 3. When I go to a call, please make my map highlight the shortest route, and if I need to use light and siren and stuff like that.. 4. bugs. for example (I went to a call. turned out to be a shoot out, I shot the guy together with my coworkers (who took about 5 min real time to arrive) and then I wanted to secure the area but I wasnt able to put my gun in my holster.. cause it was allready there, and it was in my hand aswell) 5. Please make the traffic react to the light and siren.. 6. half of the function do not work on the car (or I didnt figure it out since there is no toturial) Please work in the game to make it better and fun! dont abandon it like Police Simulator patrol officers
Very buggy. Game crashes, the file system does not connect anything or remember recent searches. Writing incidents or clearing them is broken. Once you assign yourself to an incident, clearing yourself is hopeless. The game has a LOT of potential but its a far cry from being ready to be considered playable. Even assigning yourself a unit number on the car is bugged. Just wait to buy this. Not worth spending any money on at this time. I hope this game takes off, it has a lot to offer. But it needs a complete overhaul to get all the stuff they implemented to communicate correctly.
Has lots of potential, but is a buggy half baked mess that dose not live up to the hype in its current form. Also has no EMS or FD coming anytime soon. Sticking to Police Simulator: Patrol Officers, Firefighter Simulator: Ignite, and Ambulance Life: A Paramedic Simulator for now.
I do not recommend this game- YET. While it will be a brilliant game, they have made the mistake of releasing it before it is ready. A lot of people have been pointing the blame finger at the devs, however it is a bit more nuanced than that. They were under some pressure to release it, and now people are upset that they released it too early. I think we should cut them some slack, although, they priced it way too high knowing it was not ready. It will be a great game, I can assure you of that, but much work needs to be done.
Sorry. No. They did reduce the price and there are some mechanics here that I'd like the genre to have, so if you want to join in to move policing games in general forward, then it may be worthwhile to sponsor these guys. But at the current state of the game, it can't recommended for nominal value or reasonable expectations. There are some cool aspects of it. The in-car computer is cool and speaks to a large potential of policing roleplay. The intended workflow is also promising and shows intention towards actual policing. The car physics is decent. The chevrons are okay. The police report mechanic speaks to ambition.. There are some quirks. Like QoL stuff. Finding an address. The name of the street. Name of suspects manual entry etc But the state of the game is a buggy mess. Even if you try to stay on the exact intended path of each callout, you get glitches, triggers and deadlocks galore. Like a felony stop scene totally freezing in a standoff or some NPC standing in an apartment hallway making it impossible for you to pass. There are very few callouts, some branching but they seem irrelevant to the outcome. I like that you have options in writing somebody off or letting go with a warning, but there is non variety to respond to. It's not like you can write up somebody who gives you attitude or are overly drunk or you observe something that sets you JDLR off. The state of the game and bugs speaks to a project that is too ambitious and a team that severely underestimated how to make robust scripting in a sandbox world. How to safeguard against EMTs getting stuck, Suspects pathfinding and basically NPC situational awareness on anything. The callouts are so low quality and stay unfixed that I fear that they already have lost control over their code base and that this project will fizzle out rather than picking up speed. Will gladly edit this review if I'm proven wrong.
