Хоррор-рогалик, в 2020 вышедший на PC. Особое внимание заслуживает VR-режим.
This is a great VR stealth game. I have about 12 hours on PSVR but looks even better on PCVR. It can be demanding so put it to medium settings. Must use a gamepad (no oculus touch support which sucks) but is still good and lots of interactions are with your eyes as picking things up. A bit grindy, but very good if into stealth games.
The Persistence is a stealth horror rogue-like. Kinda unfair at times, kinda repetitive. At times, when playing non-VR, some interactions didn't work properlly. Coop only avalable in LAN. You have to use a gamepad if you play in VR. Still interesting, kind of a System Shock-like with fun challenges to complete. /!\ The Persistence runs fine on Steam Deck using Proton Experimental after setting the correct resolution, with a lock 40FPS and max settings. "GOLD" on ProtonDB. https://www.protondb.com/app/1140100
This game was designed to be played in VR, and it shows. The regular configuration works rather fine, but has been implemented quickly, more like a feature than anything else. That being said, I didn't play the title in VR, but I believe it's quite good for the support. About the regular controls version, well, it's average, on the positive side though. The biggest problem is that it lacks a good polish. The game has a nice atmosphere, very similar to Doom 3. It's not an action game though, you got a nice arsenal and different boosts to help you on your journey, but you can't go all guns blazing. If you're not careful enough, you'll get rekt quite fast. The rogue-lite elements works well and are nicely justified by the scenario, which is simple, but functional. Visually, it's so-so. Without RTX, most shadows will look UGLY, lightings are okay and textures are simple. Playing with RTX, it can look quite good, and I'd say it adds a lot to the atmosphere, the shadows are really good looking with the option on, but I believe the game is poorly optimised for RTX, I have a fairly decent rig and the performances take a huge hit with it - more than usual, at least. Any decent player will take between 8 to 12 hours to complete the main campaign, which is short, but intense and difficult near the end. If space-horror is your thing, and you can look beyond its flaws, The Persistence is a fine experience, I don't think I'll revisit this one in the future, but it was pleasant for the price I paid. Wait for a good sale though: the base price is quite steep for the impression the game left me. Fine, but far from a classic.
The game is incredibly repetitive, hence the name. Even though the rooms change position every time you start a level, the rooms themselves are the same. After dying multiple times by the weepers, because two attacking at the same time drains your health so quickly that you can't do anything about it and your shield always runs out before their beam does. Basically the game goes like this: Play each level, die numerous times, carry over your stuff to the beginning of the level, hopefully after several attempts your character is strong enough to make it past the level, rinse and repeat. Glad I got this game for $1, anymore is too much.
This one is strange. TBH its a good game somewhere underneath, but some design decisions are dragging it down. I just checked it cos there were some similiarities to System Shock/Bioshock. Cons: - No proper inventory system. Sorry, but looting and hunting only for (boring) resources is getting old after 30 min of gameplay. - Melee weapons that have couple "uses" and are useless after and need "reload". srsly ? - Too scripted , and way too many jump scares/enemies. Jump scares work when there are scarce...if you get enemy in every corner , and pipes explode 90% of time, and also you get same spooky sound ambient every 10 sec - You go doom mode and ignore those. - Too dark, Systemshock didnt have a flashlight and they managed to keep it tense. - Enemies are not affected (from what Ive tested) by light/dark in any way. So If your in dark corner without a flashlight, its the same as if your using flashlight and in full light. - You can get like 10 + weapons after 10 min of gameplay... each with 2-3 bullets. I understand that it forces stealth gameplay, but thats not how it works. You go Amnesia stealth or Deus Ex, not both in same time.
Very underrated
(quase me caguei certas vezes)
funny space ship game where you steal people's spines for your own personal gain
