The Overlord Isn't Another Isekai Protagonist, Is He?

I went into this game expecting a completely different experience than I got. I expected more of a very low effort porn game that had barely sensible plot. What I got out of it was an expansive and very enjoyable adventure into the hierarchy of hell and how a lowly incubus navigates the mystery of being in hell when he shouldn't. There's a lot of mystery in the game that keeps you interested in finding the different clues. The characters are really enjoyable and I love that you can go after both guys and women. The art is breathtaking and honestly blows me away for the price being as low as it is. When I reached the end of the early access I was very genuinely disappointed because I was so hooked on the story. Now the naughty scenes are really fun too. The CGs are pretty simple but combined with the text and voice acting make quite the scene. From a female standpoint as well, I appreciate how you can simply say I don't want to fantasize about Kalli and Shay and simply be friends. But in my own opinion, id like there to be another female option to romance besides them. Simply because they feel too much like friends to view them any differently. All in all though, I'd give this game a 10/10. Im surprised it isn't more popular, especially for women.

Отличная игра. Красиво нарисовано, интересно рассказано. Приятная фоновая музыка и озвучка (особенно у Люкса - его голос можно слушать вечно). Пока игра в раннем доступе, но вполне можно играть.

[h1]Story[/h1] You play as Kay, a guy who died at the ripe old age of 25. You wake up to Kali and Shay standing over you. You discover you are in Hell and are now an incubus. [h1]Gameplay[/h1] One of the first decisions you make is if you are interested in girls, guys, or both. This will allow you to tailor the content to your tastes. You are given a "warning" anytime adult content will be viewed as to what kind of adult content it is. It isn't until about four hours into the game that you finally know how the game got its name. It isn't until about four and a half hours in that you can actually explore the world on your terms. I normally use the save game slots to save when a choice comes up. This allows me to go to any point in the story and select a different choice. Unfortunately the choice screens are so dark it is difficult to see what/where you are when you make a choice, from the save game slots. After the big reveal it seems that the save option is removed from the choice selection screen and you have to go back prior to the selection screen to save. While this now gives you a good visual of what was going on at the save point it doesn't show you the choices. The game ends rather abruptly after about five hours of play time. [h1]The Gallery[/h1] Currently there is no Gallery. [h1]Final Verdict[/h1] A well-drawn and fully voice Visual Novel. Heavy on the story, light on scenes. As this game is early access there is no guarantee that it will progress, or how. So far, updates have been coming. The game is very good. Graphically, the characters are depicted very well, so you believe that they are really alive. (Well, I hope Shay won't beat me up for that). A huge plus for immersion is also the fact that the characters are voiced. As soon as you hear their voices, you won't be able to perceive them any differently. The plot is interesting and focuses more on the characters than on the global conflict. There are some bugs, but they are not critical. Oh, and of course, Shay would be a separate item for me. Shay is just a sweet girl and I want more content with her. #wewantShay. In general, I recommend this game to everyone who loves good games and is ready to put up with small bugs, which I know have already been fixed.

This game feels like a combination of a classic puzzle adventure game with an adult dating simulation game, and there are quarters that satisfy the sexual desire of various tastes. so i recommand this game to people want to sexual situation with image and text.

Oh, I really like this game even it's still in early access. I'm very curious how amazing novel will be in future. Love this VO's, cyberpunk style and beautiful art. All characters are my favourites, can't choose just one. Of course, there were few small bugs, but this is only an early version, so no critical. I definitely recommend the game and will be looking forward to the updates. <3

I love this game! I picked it up cause it looked pretty and now I'm thoroughly invested. The characters, the music, the style, the bits of different kinds of games sprinkled throughout, it's really fun. Definitely pick it up! I will say I wish there was a gallery with all the CGs you can access in the game and hopefully trading cards and achievements one day.

I had a lot of fun playing the early access version. I didn't want it to end! I love the art and the full voice acting. I also liked how some of the dialogue options made it clear that certain choices would lead to m/m scenes or m/f scenes.

I have been following the development of this game for a long time and I want to say that for me it's one of the most anticipated visual novels I'd recommend playing The Overlord to everyone who likes twisted plots with interesting characters and unexpected turns In addition to it's obvious advantages, namely excellent VO (really, the voices and the acting are amazing, the actors did their best), wonderful visuals and an intriguing plot in an original setting (a cyberpunk hell with loads of shady inhabitants? I'm totally in), I personally want to highlight the characters They are all sinners who have fallen into hell. But for what reasons? Where is the line between just making a mistake and committing a true crime? Each character has their own secrets and backstory, which we, together with the main character, are going to reveal. I expect a lot of angst, contradictory choices, beatrayals and grey morals And a little bit about the main character - he's a darling and I adore him, this bae must be protected at all costs. I can't wait for the full release of the game to save him, who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time
