About

The Other Side is a 1-6 player cooperative paranormal investigation game. Players work together to identify and cleanse entities using a range of equipment, and environmental tools. Gather evidence, track ghost behavior, and complete objectives across different locations using both traditional, and modernized tools.
Players can customize their characters and unlock items to personalize their headquarters. Built in Unreal Engine 5, the game focuses on modern, functional investigation systems and detailed environments.

Play solo, or with up to five other players as you investigate haunted locations. Work together to identify and cleanse entities by gathering evidence and completing objectives.
In-Game Voice Chat:
Communicate with your team using proximity-based voice chat. Share information, coordinate movement, and respond to events in real time. Players can even communicate with their fallen friends by using the spirit box.
Shared Equipment:
Players can bring and use equipment during contracts, allowing teams to coordinate loadouts and approach each investigation strategically. Success depends on how effectively tools are used, and information is shared.

Progress through the game to unlock more customization options across your loadout, character, and headquarters. Earn money via contracts to spend on customization options for yourself, your vehicle, and headquarters. Upgrading to a larger vehicle increases the number of items you can bring into investigations.
Character Customization:
Customize your character with a range of apparel, hairstyles, and skin tones.
Headquarters Outfitting:
Unleash your creativity as you furnish and upgrade your base, sculpting its appearance to reflect your success in completing contracts and tasks. Create an atmospheric hub that fellow ghost hunters envy.

Identify:
Determine the ghost type by gathering evidence, and observing behavior. Use investigation tools to track activity, collect date, and correctly identify the ghost haunting the location.
Cleanse:
Now that the Identify Team has done their job, it's time for you to do yours. Work as a team to cleanse the location of the ghost haunting it. Use your ghost-hunting tools to identify the ghost's characteristics, and input them into the Spectral Affixer, revealing the location of the artifacts binding the ghost to the location. Find the artifacts and destroy them to banish the ghost from the location.

Investigate a range of locations, each with distinct layouts, environmental details, and each with their own gameplay challenges. Every location is designed to support evidence gathering, ghost tracking, and contract objectives.

Way better than a lot of the other ghost hunting games. I love the cleanse mode it's so different!
Don't let the Early Access banner scare you off! This game is a gem! Picked this up with a friend. Both of us have been playing Phasmophobia since launch and were disappointed with a recent update, so we decided to branch out. We've tried Demonologist (also solid) and Ghost Exile (less solid, still fun) before landing here, and this one is the most promising/polished of the bunch despite being in Early Access. We were blown away by how smooth it runs and how clean everything looks. The more technical approach to the investigations and the streamlined take on equipment (smartphone takes the place of a camera, journal, sanity tracker, etc.) are insanely refreshing compared to what we're used to. If you're into the paranormal investigation spooky stuff, I strongly recommend checking this out. Very excited to see how it develops as it's already so fun and perfectly playable.

One of my new favourite games by far. Much better than phasmophobia not just in terms of optimisation but also quality and overall game performance.
feeling like zac bagans up in this bih
Fun game would love to see an actual controller suport system to improve the game
A wonderful game! Played countless hours with Phas and Demon and loved both. However, they seem to be left behind by their devs. I found this game and immediately fell in love with it! The only hunting game I play now!
Played this for the first time a couple weeks ago. Was quite impressed. I come from Phasmophobia... which I loved originally and used to play a TON, but ever since they completely overhauled the game and ruined player progress with their prestige system years ago... I haven't been able to enjoy it as a casual player since. Items are unbelievably expensive for a casual player, you have to spend tens of hours grinding to level up to unlock equipment now, and the updates just keep ruining the game more. ...HOWEVER I was very surprised with this game, The Other Side. This game really scratches that OG Phas itch -- except it's a lot cleaner, less buggy, and has its own systems to make it a little more intricate. You can 100% play this AS A CASUAL PLAYER. You do NOT have to grind TENS of hours just to have decent equipment. You start off with $500 which lasts several runs. if you run out of $ they have a basic FREE kit you can take in (just takes a small % at the end of your cash), there's decent character customization, tons of level difficulty options, a chance to revive upon death, talking to your friends over the spirit box when you're dead, and so much more. My only takeaway would be that I'd like to see more smaller maps added in, more scare model options/variety, and lighting and/or room get some tweaks for the lobby/preload room. It's a bit cramped and dark for character customization; especially when trying to read your friends' clothing. Great job to this dev team, keep up the great work! Excited to play this again and looking forward to future game updates.
excellent game. can't wait to find out where it all heads too.
Pretty damn good and has different gamemodes, catching up fast with other games in it's genre despite having just two albeit hardworking developers. Looking forwards to 1.0.
Game contains undisclosed genAI content. So far I have seen it in some of the vehicle skins as well as a suspect article of clothing.
