About

The Other Side is a 1-6 player cooperative paranormal investigation game. Players work together to identify and cleanse entities using a range of equipment, and environmental tools. Gather evidence, track ghost behavior, and complete objectives across different locations using both traditional, and modernized tools.
Players can customize their characters and unlock items to personalize their headquarters. Built in Unreal Engine 5, the game focuses on modern, functional investigation systems and detailed environments.

Play solo, or with up to five other players as you investigate haunted locations. Work together to identify and cleanse entities by gathering evidence and completing objectives.
In-Game Voice Chat:
Communicate with your team using proximity-based voice chat. Share information, coordinate movement, and respond to events in real time. Players can even communicate with their fallen friends by using the spirit box.
Shared Equipment:
Players can bring and use equipment during contracts, allowing teams to coordinate loadouts and approach each investigation strategically. Success depends on how effectively tools are used, and information is shared.

Progress through the game to unlock more customization options across your loadout, character, and headquarters. Earn money via contracts to spend on customization options for yourself, your vehicle, and headquarters. Upgrading to a larger vehicle increases the number of items you can bring into investigations.
Character Customization:
Customize your character with a range of apparel, hairstyles, and skin tones.
Headquarters Outfitting:
Unleash your creativity as you furnish and upgrade your base, sculpting its appearance to reflect your success in completing contracts and tasks. Create an atmospheric hub that fellow ghost hunters envy.

Identify:
Determine the ghost type by gathering evidence, and observing behavior. Use investigation tools to track activity, collect date, and correctly identify the ghost haunting the location.
Cleanse:
Now that the Identify Team has done their job, it's time for you to do yours. Work as a team to cleanse the location of the ghost haunting it. Use your ghost-hunting tools to identify the ghost's characteristics, and input them into the Spectral Affixer, revealing the location of the artifacts binding the ghost to the location. Find the artifacts and destroy them to banish the ghost from the location.

Investigate a range of locations, each with distinct layouts, environmental details, and each with their own gameplay challenges. Every location is designed to support evidence gathering, ghost tracking, and contract objectives.

so excited to see how this game development progresses. it feels familiar, like phasmo, but already so much better.. and scarier.
KICKS PHASMO'S A**!! If you're still playing that outdated game - GET WITH IT!

It's a fun game! Wish I had others to play it with!!
I really love the graphics and the gameplay. Everything runs smoothly and with every update it doesn't break the game. I have yet to run into any glitches and hopefully I won't run into any. I highly recommend this game!

**⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10 – I entered for a game. I left with emotional damage.** I genuinely don't know what kind of dark magic the developers used, but *The Other Side* completely consumed my life. I told myself I'd play for "just 30 minutes." The next thing I knew, the sun was coming up, my coffee was cold, my responsibilities had filed for abandonment, and I was questioning every life decision that led me to this masterpiece. The atmosphere? Absolutely suffocating—in the best possible way. Every hallway, room, and creepy corner had me saying, "Nope... absolutely not..." while immediately walking straight into it anyway. The sound design deserves an award because it somehow made me terrified of silence *and* noise at the same time. The story is phenomenal. It doesn't just hand everything to you; it slowly pulls you deeper until you're connecting clues like a conspiracy theorist with a corkboard and 500 feet of red string. Every revelation made me go, "WAIT... WHAT?!" and somehow it just kept getting better. The visuals are stunning. Every environment feels handcrafted with an incredible amount of care and attention to detail. There were multiple moments where I stopped progressing just to admire the scenery before remembering, "Oh yeah... something horrible is probably about to happen." The gameplay is a perfect mix of exploration, tension, and puzzle solving. The puzzles are clever enough to make you feel like a genius when you solve them but never so ridiculous that you have to sacrifice three goats to the Google gods. And can we appreciate how polished this game is? My entire playthrough was smooth, immersive, and free of any major issues. In an era where some games release held together with duct tape and optimism, *The Other Side* actually feels finished. Imagine that. The developers clearly poured their hearts into this project, and it shows in every detail. You can tell this wasn't made by people chasing trends—it was made by people who genuinely wanted to create something memorable. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. Would I erase my memory just so I could experience it for the first time again? Without hesitation. Would I trust the game when it tells me "everything is fine"? Not for a single second. If you enjoy psychological horror, mystery, exploration, and games that know exactly how to keep you hooked, buy this immediately. Don't watch spoilers. Don't read guides. Just jump in. This game didn't just exceed my expectations—it picked them up, threw them through a window, and then invited me to applaud while it did it. **Final Verdict:** ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ **Pros:** * Incredible atmosphere * Fantastic storytelling * Beautiful visuals * Immersive sound design * Smart puzzles * Genuinely memorable experience **Cons:** * I now inspect every dark hallway in real life. * Sleep is apparently optional. * The credits rolled eventually, which was honestly pretty rude. 11/10. My therapist is going to hear about this game.
A modern version of Phasmophobia. Writing this review while in Early Access still. Game has lots of potential. After my 3 hour initial playing, game had zero bugs. The Cleanse mode is very confusing and hard to figure out exactly how to play it, even with reading instructions. The Identify mode plays like a modern graphically polished Phasmophobia. Maps are fun and offer a good match for solos and groups. Recommend to fans of Phasmophobia!
