The game is great for learning how to play guitar, Ive learned a lot unfortunately I cant recommend it as ubisoft will happily rip any content you pay for out of your hands because theyre too cheap to continue licensing their product. They can, will, and have bricked DLC because the license expired, and then theyll continue selling it anyway. Stop killing games. When you remove the legal way to enjoy things people have made, the only way forward is piracy.

i'd recommend this, but i wouldnt recommend buying it. sail the seas, and pirate the game. too much gone in the new learn and play edition that i cant see how its even worth it in the slightest.

they pulled all of the music from the game without telling anyone because they didn't want to renew the music contract. i wish i would have known this before i bought it wtf. i want a refund

Rocksmith 2014 was one of my favorite games ever, and over the years I spent hundreds of dollars buying DLC songs. Today, I can't access much of the music I paid for. Some songs have been delisted because of expired licenses, and purchases are locked to the platform where I originally bought them. As a customer, that's incredibly disappointing. I understand that music licensing is complicated, but it's hard not to feel burned when you spend that much money on digital content and later lose the ability to use it. It makes me think twice about ever investing heavily in digital DLC again. The game itself is fantastic. I just wish there had been a better way to protect the investment made by long-time players.

Ubisoft is just a bunch of greedy bastards, refusing to develop a better game and denying any kind of "competition". How about instead of taking down better alternatives or make subscription models you just created your own better version?

Don't get this, get Slopsmith! You can thank The Director of Subscriptions in Ubisoft for this negative review. Trying to DMCA an open source game is pretty low, though nothing new from Ubisoft nowadays.

It works. It's great fun and it has been inspiring me to pick up my guitar and learn \ practice \ play daily, which nothing else has other than being in a band, and that was 40 years ago. Regarding songs: if you play on PC with the Real Tone Cable, you'll need to install CDLC (look it up) and then you'll be able to use the huge volume of community-provided songs. But if you want to use your own audio interface and a normal guitar lead, then be prepared. You will have to install RS Mods (look that up too). It may go very smoothly. Or.... on my Windows PC, it took me weeks to sort out because my PC has had many upgrades and I had ended up with some 64 bit drivers where they should have been 32bit. So be prepared to tinker with Windows, or even reset it. And then enjoy it. I haven't even got out of the lessons yet, I'm having so much fun.

This game is extremely fun ONLY if you add your own tracks, since they removed all the songs, but with this it is a really fun game

Ubisoft is the worst company that ever existed in the world. I hope they go bankrupt. Taking down slopsmith just because your live service ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of a game Rocksmith+ (more like rocksmith minus) didn't work out, nobody plays that piece of garbage. Once again Ubislop kicks it's own comunity in the balls and then procedes to defecate on them. Good job, keep it up, i hope you all end up working at McDonalds.
