The Message from Deep Space

omg. omg. this game. jesus christ. Look, I got all Ds in maths class consistently in school and my entire family knows me as a math hater. But this game awakens some deep primal desire to solve equations inside of me and now I'm wishing it existed when I was 16 and completely miserable in class. This game makes me want to rip my hair out and eat it and then end my life but I'm so eager to continue and I do not understand why. Maybe it's a combination of the space aspect, and the silly side characters, and the similarities to some movies I like, and also the fact that in school I was being forced to do ♥♥♥♥ I didn't want to do whereas this is up to my free will and therefore I can take my time and not feel intensely pressured to achieve a good grade -- but I can't walk away from this. Even when I'm losing my mind scrawling inelligable notes that ultimately serve to hinder my journey to the solution, I can't walk away. I love this game. I love it and that makes me so mad. This game makes me so mad. I don't even know whether to hit yes or no at the bottom of this text box because I feel like this game is made for a VERY specific niche of people, and so most people would hate it, but then... I am absolutely not part of that niche, and yet I love it. So idk. Play the demo like I did, it might draw you in, or you might hate it (base 8 makes me want to actually die). I literally got stuck and almost said 'wow this isnt worth it im quitting' at the VERY FIRST transmission, that's how little desire I have to willingly solve math equations, but I worked it out (the solution is literally in the trailer I'm just stupid) and now I'm addicted. The first thing I did upon being paid was come purchase the full game. Maths class did not ever give me the rush that this game does when I work out the correct solution. It's magic (and the freedom of being an adult, I guess). The confetti does help though, thanks Dr Bautista. I'm clicking yes recommend this game, partly because I want to support this developer and this really really cool game, and partly because I think it's great that there's a free demo to try it out, and everybody SHOULD try it out, because you might be surprised by how much fun you have. Especially if you like movies and shows about aliens. And games with simulated computer interfaces. That definitely drew my attention it's like crack to me. Anyway play this game. Please.
