I've loved this game series the moment i played tangle tower, i have been so excited to play this game ever since it was announced and i can confidently say this game is a incredible sequal to the original, the story and characters were all so well done! i love each and every one of them, the character were all so unique and beautifully animated, the twists and truths that are discovered in the story were so well crafted and shocked me everytime, the puzzles were fun and brain testing, and loved figuring out the mystery along side sally and grimoire! hope in their next case they finally get paid! over all, my expectations for this sequal were absolutly met, as Wirman put it, it can be daunting to make a sequal to a game that was already good, the pressure to top your previous work can feel impossible, but everyone on the game studio team made it possible, and whatever you make in future i will be sure to tune in again everytime! thank you!

Amazing. Worth all the wait. Small aside the achievement for finishing the game didn't trigger on my playthrough.
I can't wait to re-play it and note down all the clues within clues the developers left. Incredibly polished game. Best in the series. If you're looking for a visual novel detective story, this is up there with Phoenix Wright and Professor Layton.
Highly recommended! The plot is up there with the better murder mystery games I've played, but the presentation! The presentation is well beyond them. The whole game is a delight to see and hear, and the voice acting is so good - I don't normally favour voice acting, on average I prefer silence or bleeps if anything, but here it sells the characters so well that even I have to concede its merit. The whole thing is a step up from (the also quite good) Tangle Tower, mostly in the plot, which flowed more satisfyingly to the conclusion, and the puzzles, which I remember being rather more obtuse in a bad way. I recommend playing that game first, though; it holds up quite well, and the Mermaid Mask has some callbacks and continuity which, while not essential to understand, struck quite an emotional chord with me. Big bonus points for having every character have a specific answer for every single piece of evidence, and there is a *lot* of evidence. There's so many good little character moments and fantastically stupid jokes in there. The scene examination dialogue is similarly dense; if you like to squeeze your narrative games for every last drop of juice, you're in for a treat.

wow
Me encanto la historia, la banda sonora y obviamiente los diseños de cuartos como tambien de personajes. mi personaje Fav es simetrica la amo. Me agrada que sigan agregando mas lore acerca de las familias.
The Mermaid Mask is a tremendously entertaining detective mystery game with a vibrant cast of characters and fascinating narrative at its core. While its basis may be in the point-n-click adventure genre, allowing players to investigate and explore various scenes and settings, it does away with the typical use-inventory-item trope. Instead there's a focus on collecting clues, inspecting evidence, and conducting interviews (akin to the Ace Attorney series) which all satisfyingly added to the detective fantasy. Especially in this narrative where it all feels particular open with various small mysteries hanging about as oppose to a linear story in the mystery genre. Generally though these points of gameplay mechanics are completed via interactions with the crew and that is my absolute highlight of the game. Brilliantly written and beautifully voice-acted, each character is distinctively unique from one another and yet they all are oh so fun, funny, or even both! Overall the writing too has that earnest comedic tone that I really appreciate too, away from all the edgy quips and the need for constant sarcasm, allowing it to still pull an emotional weight for its dramatic moments. With basically nothing negative to say, The Mermaid Mask is an easy recommendation from me for anybody loves a good detective mystery (especially if you're a fan of the Ace Attorney series) and I cannot wait for you to give it a try and (hopefully) be charmed by its cast and story just as I was.
It was a long wait, but the game was worth it. I played the previous installments with my 10yo kid and he insisted on putting The Mermaid Mask on the wishlist. So we did, and regularly checked on the release date. At last we had a free weekend together, and cracked the game (3 achievements missing...) in 16 hours. The story was really great, everything logically connected, every character with unique quirks and traits. There was a stage where we had to ask everyone about everything, because sometimes the comments pushing the story forward were a bit unexpected. But once all clues were unlocked, in the endgame, all started to fall into place in the most satisfying and logical way, leaving no loose ends. Really wholesome and touching experience, for something disguised as a "detective game". My kid already asks about the next part!
