They really said, what if we just used AI to recreate Robert Eggers' The Lighthouse, but as a really uninspired and mid videogame? AI can't save you from bad writing, a bad story and egregious artifacting all over the map, what the hell. That's a no from me dawg
A VIDER !!!
I see a pattern here. When someone writes a review and says they don't understand what any of the negativity is about, it usually means they found way more good than bad, which alone is a reason to give a game a try. I've also noticed that some of the reviews are about technical issues. That said, this game was amazing. It had a great amount of great pacing and just enough to do to keep it interesting. There was definitely a story there too. The story was good and very interesting. It was a bit short, but that's a compliment. It's creepy and cozy. Perfect for a rainy day. I like another game by this developer Argenti a horror within the Great Pyramid. Can't wait for more from this talented team.
🎯 Overall Rating: ★★★☆☆ 📖 Story: ★☆☆☆☆ 🎮 Gameplay: ★☆☆☆☆ 🖼️ Graphics: ★★★★☆ 🎧 Sound Design: ★★★★☆ 🔁 Replay Value: ☆☆☆☆☆ ⚙️ Difficulty: ☆☆☆☆☆ 🪲 Bug‑Free?: ★★★★★ 💻 PC Requirements: ★★★☆☆ ⏱️ Game Length: ★★★☆☆ _______________________________________________________________ The story made zero sense to me. The voices sounded AI generated. The graphics were nice, but the gameplay was basically nonexistent, the puzzles were simple “go grab this piece” tasks, and even those managed to get annoying sometimes (especially in the bunk room). Overall, it felt more like a short film than an actual game. Very walking simulator heavy.
This game uses very obvious AI voice acting (and possibly artwork), I also wouldn't be surprised if the script was AI generated as well because everything about the story is as bland and dull as dishwater. The game was gifted to me and I would've never wishlisted, or bothered playing it if I had known about the blatant use of AI prior, I can't believe this slop has such high reviews.
Very good game. There's a lot more to it than I had expected. The atmosphere is great and felt immersed on the island. Instead of relying on constant jump scares, it slowly builds tension and a feeling of dread, which makes it scary. Great story too. It says no controller support but I was able to use my Xbox controller on my PC fine should update that.
3/5 stars i would say the story is nothing super crazy but stills alright and the graphics and gameplay is rlly good. worth the price
