The most relaxing horror game you'll ever play. Anemoiapolis exists in the uncanny valley of American architecture -- endless carpeted floors and lonely malls. Escape for your life, and enjoy the scenery.

It has been 3 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ years, WHERE IS CHAPTER 2!!!
Not relaxing at all once the artificial horror elements kick in. Commits the cardinal sin of interpreting liminal spaces as missing something if they don't contain a demonic presence or some other external element of terror.
I don't get why they had to have voice actor for a first person game. I found that a bit irritating. Let me be the silent character with my own thoughts about the place. Aside from that minor gripe it's great liminal game. The mall hub area gave it what I like to call the "Firelink Shrine" of liminal spaces effect now. Never would have thought bland, corporate elevator music could feel so warm and welcoming, but next to the void it is. It's short tour in the end, but liminal places are meant to be journey to somewhere else, so no wonder! Also the ending kind of sucked.

I need chapter 2, keep going!
Liminal spaces for white people. Just kidding, but it is lacking the flavor that makes liminal spaces special. The Zero Ticket level in particular was astonishingly boring, too bright, and too repetitive. Not claustrophobic enough. Felt procedurally generated instead of handcrafted, idk if it is. I kind of understand the intention behind the tickets, but sometimes walking simulators should just be walking simulators. If it absolutely had to be a collectathon, it could've been literally anything except tickets. Something gruesome, like, I don't know, human organs. I must say, though, the second part of the water park resort looked quite great, but it's not enough for a thumbs up because of how unintuitive it becomes once you get to the top. The first gameplay video I watched of that area also showed the player walking back and forth all confused, so I know I'm not stupid. It's also great that you can turn the voice off, mostly because of all the annoying grunts when you jump. I don't understand why any developer adds grunting noises.
This really IS one of the best of the single player purely liminal (e.g. no entities or puzzles other than the map itself) games out there. Fans of more recent entries to the franchise such as Liminal Waters and both of the (unrelated) Dreamcore games will be delighted at the usage of rather unique assets and level-types which help this experience truly stand out as a magnificent labor of liminal love.
I usually dont have a gripe with walking sim games, but this one is especially boring.
Fun exploration game. Although a bit short, it's definitely worth checking out if you're into walking simulators. However, if you're looking for the classical "liminal" feeling, I feel like this game does not quite capture it as well as e.g. Dreamcore.
This game was fantastic i highly reccomend it, very immersive and extremely desolate and haunting at times, but mostly using the enviroment and atmosphere to do so, not so much monsters or jump scares, it really feels like it ties into simulation theory and liminality, i totally reccomend this game and hope they come out with a chapter 2!
If you enjoy walking in empty environments with nothing to do, this game is for you. There was nothing impressive in the game. Not a single rewarding moment at all. The times that something actually happened, it was just necessary things to progress in the game. I have no interest in finishing the game whatsoever. Edit: I have finished the game and apparently there's a different ending to unlock. Unfortunately, I have no interest in finding it.
