There is some game in this bug.... If you think that the scary part of this game is the witch, you are wrong...the most scary part is the hairless dog that disappear, appear in front of your face and float literally in the air...
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Loved the normal version so much I had to play it in VR and I was not disappointed. The best VR horror experience I've ever had. There's something about walking through the woods in the dark and looking around with a flashlight that just feels so good in VR.
This game is 90% a walking simulator. It was only in the last chapter that I felt like I was actually playing a horror game, though after a few minutes, I realized I couldn't see anything anyway, so it didn’t matter much. The remaining 10% of "combat," "chases," and puzzles are really simple and easy—perhaps too easy. The VR features are mostly good, but the cutscenes are pre-recorded, so they’re not in VR, which feels really disappointing.
Play basic Blair Witch version vs the Blair Witch VR. -Quality is pretty bad in VR -Cutscenes are a little awkward to watch.
The game was scary but the VR port itself wasn't so great near the end. Some of the puzzles near the end of the game are broken. They literally require you to carry the puzzle pieces from point a to b because if you let go of the pieces, they go into your inventory. The inventory system does not exist in the VR version, or rather, is not accessible in the VR version as it is not mapped out to any of the buttons on the VR controller, and you cannot map it in the settings menu. Better off waiting for this game to go on sale.
creepy but too many bugs, such a shame of a game :( Still love bloober team.
I really wanted to like this game and in the end I did somewhat, just not enough to give this a thumbs up. The game starts out well, but I soon realised the controls are not good, especially the rotation speed, at its max its still way too slow, making it cumbersome. I did like the mechanics of the items you carry with you, like the flashlight for example, you can pick it off your belt and point it with the controller in the darkness, that felt immersive. Having the dog with you is also cool and I didnt get annoyed with it like others have. The game is short, which I dont mind, but near the end I felt the devs were just lengthening it beyond what they did with Layers of fear and I just wanted it to end. The ending I found to be horrible as well. This could have been a great VR game, but sadly it took me out of the immersion all the time with pre-rendered cutscenes and poorly implemented VR mechanics.
game breaking bug in chapter 6. there's a cutscene area, and after it ends i'm supposed to teleport back to normal corridor, but i don't, and there's no way to progress. at least dog
Pretty much the same TWD Saints n Sinners graphically and gameplay speaking, for those are bothered about this. PS: Played just 30min and its awesome, great times ahead I can feel it.
If I knew reachin the cabin on the hill would require this much walking, I'd brough a quad. The Blair Witch VR is mostly a walking simulator. So much walking. But that makes sense. You are in a forest looking for a missing kid after all. Together with your loyal dog Bullet you set out on a long hike to find a missing kid. It starts pretty mundane but it gets more and more twisted as it goes on. Its a great game, it gets into your mind and later on you will understand things aren't the way you thought it to be. The flatscreen cutscenes are a bit weird in VR but not to bothersome either. There are 17 chapters but chapter 17 feels as long as the first 16 combined. Still, Blair Witch is a pretty good game. Pretty maddening, pretty scary. PS, pet the dog. It's animated. You can also play fetch if you find a good stick. I thought you might wanna know.
