Disclaimer: I played it offline on my Steam Deck, so I actually logged a few dozen hours and finished it despite the fact that it says I played it for 5 hours or so. Whereas Cold Steel I and II felt like Sky FC and SC, that is to say, a single really long game split in half, this one does feel like an actual sequel due to the fact that it picks over a year after the previous game's ending and that means a lot of things have changed. The Erebonian Civil War is over, Crossbell has been annexed, Class VII has graduated and gone on their separate ways, and Rean has become the instructor of a new Class VII in the newly established Thors Military Academy Branch Campus, while all the political scheming by the different governments and other groups like Ouroboros and the like continue. I loved this one because it felt like the story had moved forward quite a bit and we are starting to make sense of a lot of things that have been building up throughout eight whole games, and I also really enjoyed seeing some familiar faces come back and see everybody grow as characters. I especially loved being able to visit Crossbell and see how familiar and different it seemed under Erebonian rule, and see so many of the familiar NPC's I got to know in Zero and Azure, as well as catch up with Agate and a grown-up Tita. Gameplay-wise it was mostly what I expected, that is to say, the same systems from the previous games with a few minor tweaks. I'd say the biggest change in mechanics is the fishing mini-game. This is probably my favorite Cold Steel so far, though I realize many of the reasons why I loved it have to do with having played all the previous games in the franchise in release order. Now on to part IV.

GAME GOOD
bro what
Kolejna dobra odsłona serii, choć te segmenty "gadane" trochę mi się już zaczęły nużyć. Mimo to nadal polecam.
best Cold Steel.
Cool stort that picks up from Cold Steel 2. The ost is amazing, but the first part of the story is boring
If u play cs1 and cs2, playing this is a must
its pretty good
