Explore a drowned Earth, restore lost systems, and raise the last human seeds in this first-person survival-crafting adventure. Build, scavenge, defend, and launch humanity back to the stars.
Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 22.71/day in the week to Sep 1 → 39.14/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 17 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,502 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
The world you knew is gone.
You awaken as the last active Caretaker, a machine built for one purpose: save humanity. Across a vast ocean covering the ruins of Earth, you must recover human seeds, restore the Lazarus Complex, and prepare the next generation for launch into orbit.
The Last Caretaker is a first-person survival-crafting game about systems, choices, and purpose. Every resource matters. Every structure has a reason to exist. Every success gives humanity one more chance.

Recover human seeds and return them to the Lazarus Complex. Manage their growth, restore memory data, and prepare them for life beyond Earth.
Scavenge abandoned facilities, dismantle wreckage, and recycle materials into tools, weapons, power networks, and essential modules. Restore the machinery needed to keep the mission alive.
Rogue machines, hostile systems and the world itself will push back. Repair and maintain, upgrade your equipment, and protect what remains.
Restore ancient launch infrastructure, chart the ocean, gather resources and memories, and send the humans you raised into orbit. The mission is not survival for its own sake. It is a continuation.
Explore silent Sanctuary docks, Refuel Outposts, Underwater cities, and long-forgotten Seed Vaults. The story is uncovered through places, logs, memories, and the remains of a civilization that tried to outlive its own world.
Genres
Sums Steam only; Epic, Xbox publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.
Updates
Build ids and update times come straight from Steam's PICS — the same source SteamDB reads. Patch history grows as we record new builds.

Half life nostalgy
This is a great game! Once you've got your head around the fundamentals; maintaining electrical power and diesel. I'm only a few hours in and my progress is slow and deliberate but I think that's what you're probably meant to do - avoid dying, maintain your ship, solve mysteries. Is this game worth the money? Absolutely! My only gripe is the UI could do with some work but this Early Access, I'm sure they'll sort that out in time ;) I see a number of people here complaining about performance. I don't know if they're trying to run the game at 4k native or something but, I'm running it at 1080p on epic settings with frame gen. and getting a pretty stable 305fps avg. (you can see my specs below).

ist ein echt tolles Spiel
One of the most beautiful and addicting games I’ve ever played.
.
Probably the best single player game ever played. Loved every aspect: the story, the gameplay, the physics, and the graphics. The developers put very much time into the details, for example, the music that gets played when the rocket booster comes back. Overall the immersion and the gameplay make it very addictive. Wanting to know how the story ends makes it worth every penny.
Hands down one of the BEST survival games I have played to date!! The world while lonely at times is not empty and I have been taken down by several sharks with LAZER BEAMS on their heads. I love that they give you the freedom to build as concisely or as haphazardly as you'd like. Pulling up to a new location is exciting with the anticipation of what awaits! DEFINITELY WORTH FULL PRICE I wish I could refund and pay full price but I got it on sale. DEFINITELY EXPERIENCE THIS GAME!! ONE THING I WILL SAY and I hope it gets fixed with updates is I have a TON of crashes. But I keep sending crash reports so hopefully it helps!
