It's a cute and charming game. In the beginning it takes a while to grab you, but then it is a nice journey through a quirky fantastical world. The end felt a bit abrupt, though.
Solid traditional and whimsical point & click title. I bought its sequel when I saw it on deep discount and upon seeing it on a big discount, I grabbed the first game during the spring sale and started it after taking a break from my Wonderlands playthrough while I wait for half price SDUs to come back. Has a decent story, solid voice acting, some witty writing and interesting art designs. On the negative side, some of the puzzles are kind of 'obtuse'. The earliest parts are okay but some of the puzzles have cartoon logic style solutions. This can lead to you to try to combine items randomly with each other or with interactable hotspots to figure out what the puzzle actually needed you to do. Another issue is that there can be a lack of context on what you actually have to do and what the puzzle you're trying to solve is. There's a detailed hint system available through to assist you which helps with that at least. 7/10
Very cute and funny point and click game! I loved it so much I played through it twice so I could get all the achievements lol.
Cute, funny, and charming — with a sweet story. But be warned: some puzzles make zero sense and can feel random. Also, the ending is a bit strange. Worth it for the vibe, just expect a bit of trial and error.
Purchased the Inner World Bundle deal for $2.78usd ($1.19 for this game). For this price, I would definitely recommend the game for the art and voice acting, and the decent amount of playtime. It's basically a steal, IMO. BIG DISCLAIMER: the game is prone to getting bugged. I ran into this issue with certain item interactions and chapter cutscenes. Exiting and restarting did not fix it. How I personally fixed the issue: I redownloaded the game on a different PC, transferred my save file over, checked that I could now progress through Chapter 1 into Chapter 2, and played on that PC from then onward. If you can't debug it even after checking discussion posts, maybe just get a refund. :( Aside from the bugginess, I found the game to be rather enjoyable. The art and voice acting are very charming, and the puzzles had a decent variety. I was able to figure out majority of the puzzles without guides/hints. The story was also engaging and fun, a little corny at times. For the second game, The Last Wind Monk, I unfortunately thought the story became unsatisfying and incongruent, and a lot of puzzles seemed to work less logically. However, I didn't seem to run into bugs with that one?
