The Inevitability: A Thought-Provoking Yet Flawed Experience The Inevitability is a narrative-driven game that explores themes of fate, choice, and the nature of existence. The game offers a unique, thought-provoking experience that attempts to delve into philosophical questions through interactive storytelling. It presents players with complex moral dilemmas and challenging decisions that impact the progression of the narrative, making for an emotionally engaging, albeit somewhat heavy experience. The game excels in its atmosphere, with haunting visuals and an immersive soundtrack that perfectly complement its somber themes. The writing is deep and introspective, pushing players to consider the consequences of their actions while presenting a narrative that challenges their perspectives. The voice acting is solid, bringing the characters to life and adding weight to the emotional moments of the story. However, The Inevitability has its fair share of flaws. The pacing can often feel slow, as the game leans heavily into long conversations and philosophical debates that may alienate some players. While the narrative is interesting, it can become bogged down by its own complexity, and the lack of interactive gameplay elements can leave the experience feeling more like a visual novel than a fully engaging game. Additionally, the lack of variety in environments and the limited player agency can make the experience feel somewhat linear and repetitive. Ultimately, The Inevitability offers an intriguing exploration of existential themes, but its reliance on long dialogue sequences and minimal gameplay may limit its appeal to players seeking a more dynamic experience. While it’s worth a try for those interested in deep, narrative-heavy games, it may not satisfy those looking for more action or variety in gameplay. Score: 73/100
Action-adventure game with exploration elements and a mysterious, dark storyline set in a post-apocalyptic world ✅Very dark ‘psychological horror’ atmosphere ✅Realistic 3D graphics with details that emphasise the post-apocalyptic atmosphere ✅Sound and music enhance the game’s atmosphere ✅Good value for money ❌Lack of basic graphics options (e.g. resolution changes) ❌Very tedious (walking around, avoiding threats without any deeper mechanics) ❌The graphics aren’t good in this game ❌Chaotic, disjointed storyline ❌❌Verdict: [strike] Terrible [/strike] , [strike] Bad [/strike] , Mediocre , [strike] Decent [/strike] , [strike] Good [/strike] , [strike] Very Good [/strike] (Rating scale for tested game)
If you'd like to see more of my reviews, you can find them on my curator page: CuratorKingViking and on my group: GroupKingViking If you have any questions about my reviews, feel free to ask. Budget Slenderman

Warning: GameGuru Asset Flip!
The Inevitability is a what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" bought the GameGuru first person shooter construction kit (no coding required, it's just a GUI!) and cobbled out a map or two using stock GameGuru assets... nothing in this game can fully be called the creation of the developer, and yet they also failed to credit GameGuru or acknowlegde any of the GameGuru assets. They're trying (badly) to pass someone else's work as their own. In this case some effort (but not that much) went into trying to make a ripoff of the Slender Man game, basically a first person survival horror with a creepy man chasing you around and giving you jumpscares... it's really hard to suggest that's any better than the usual stock arena wave survival shooters people usually churn out with GameGuru/FPSC. Let's be clear, GameGuru is a completely godawful construction kit. If you try to take it seriously as a game, you'll find no resolution or graphics tweaks, no controller tweaks... it's horribly optimised and will be sluggish even on high end rigs. You can make the argument that GameGuru exists to just make demos and little experimental games to pass around with friends, but that's not what's happened here... the developer is seriously trying to scam people into paying money for this construction kit copy+paste asset flip. That's not okay! From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, left handed gamers or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts. These technical defects are typical for GameGuru, and as usual push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. So, should you buy this GameGuru asset flip? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam? The Inevitability has the almost scam-like price of around $5 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam. This is also competing with over 11,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.
I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay. After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like. Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends. Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together. Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that. Thank you.
